Dear me

Only gonna believe it when I see them both in that ring and the first bell goes lol

It's not really a great deal different to AJ having a tune up fight where he's expected to win. He's probably just getting paid way more than he's been paid for any other fight lol

Farcical on all fronts. I can’t believe Joshua has actually agreed to it. There’s quite obviously going to be agreements in place that he can’t knock Paul out or go too hard. He’s just going to get called a bum when he lets Paul go past 4 rounds. I know money talks but is it really worth it?

If Joshua hasn’t taken his head off within the first 2 minutes then there is definitely something pre arranged and agreed to.

If he is allowed to go full tilt, he could genuinely kill him

This is exactly what Eddie Hearn said tbf. I don't blame AJ fighting Paul for his tune up fight rather than a top 100 fighter because the difference in payday is astronomical....doesn't make it any less of a farce to the sport unfortunately!

It really isn't. It's one event and nobody is forced to watch it.

🤣🤣Keep telling yourself that.

Jake Paul circus v Tyson, Chavez junior and now AJ

AJ v Francis" mma" fighter never boxed since!

Ksi drinks bloke v Tysons little sister I mean brother....

Benn v a 37 year old half dehydrated Eubank

What a load of w@nk!!

Luckily I'm old enough to remember  proper warriors like the REAL Benn, Eubank, Collins,Watson etc.

Enjoy your "fight"🤣🤣

Until people stop paying for it, this sort of stuff will continue. People will criticise and still pay ridiculous ticket fees or pay for 'box office'

Boxing has created a circus, so they might as well take the money.

Pretty much this.

The obnoxious Z-list "YouTubers" aren't the only ones at fault for this farce. Anyone who follows them and adds to their ridiculous fame is too.

yeah it’s farcical.

but for the amount of money that’s being talked about, I’d show my bum hole live on East Midlands today for not even half that amount..

I don't ever want to hear Joshua linked with fighting a decent heavyweight again.

Fair play it's going to be the biggest payday of his career though, can't really blame him if he thinks he's coming to the end of his boxing career.

If it takes him from living easily to his family/kids/grandkids living comfortably he'd be stupid not to

It's been a great month of boxing already, absolutely buzzing for the Ring 4 card on Saturday.

2 English boys, Yarde and Noakes in tough world title fights, Bam Rodriguez and hopefully Devin Haney getting absolutely smoked by Brian Norman Jr. Plenty of positives in the sport and you don't have to look hard for them.

I certainly wouldn't let circus fights detract you from enjoying what is still a very decent and competitive sport in the main.

I just can't get my head round how this market works. Up to 50m purse for Joshua? Why? From where? How are charades like this worth so many people parting with their hard-earned? It's sickening.

It's on Netflix, which I imagine almost everyone either has an account or knows someone with an account. I can only assume it will be peppered with adverts. I really don't know how it generates so much money tbh lol

One positive of it is that the undercards are usually very decent and the fighters on his cards are usually paid pretty well.

Having watched this guy easily get dismantled by Tommy Fury, who I doubt would even win an area belt in the UK, I'm excited to see him flattened and for him to finally move onto a different sport.

7 rounds of jabs and body work for maximum destruction then unleash hell in the 8th is my dream scenario.

Still fairly sure he'll find a reason to call it off at the 11th hour though. Then fight Nate Diaz in January or something haha.

Yeah I’m probably seen as way behind what the norm is nowadays and hanging on to the good old times.

Just to add the names you’ve mentioned, I’d implore anybody to go and find highlights involving fights with Prince Naz, Bruno, Lennox etc….heck even jump a generation you’ve got the likes of Calzaghe, Froch, Hatton!

Fighters that wanted to scrap first and worry about the money later

Basically confirms end of AJ's career.

That cringe promo after Usyk lives in my head. Man had such an overinflated opinion of himself and would have been schooled, in an earlier era.

Can only face what's in front of you and he's still achieved far more than 99% boxers ever will. Take the payday and bugger off into the sunset. I won't be watching.

That isn't the plan unfortunately from everything I've heard. Another fight in Feb and then final fight against Fury late 2026.

That fight is about 2 or 3 years too late sadly

It’s a joke fight but I can’t believe what I’m reading online about his fight against Mike Tyson.

Tyson got KO’d by Danny Williams 20 years before his fight with Jake Paul. He didn’t go easy on Jake Paul ffs, he’s nearly 60 lol
