Spearing? As in Jay Spearing?

Lee Marshall on the left wing, and I'd like to point out that Frank Sinclair is nowhere near among the worst Leicester players. The odd disaster aside, he put in over 160 appearances for the club and was usually quite reliable.

...more than reliable !!!!!!!!!

Havent been around for too long .......

Keith Gillespie

Jason Wilcox

Scott Gemmill

Josh Low

Lee Morris

I don't think Keith Gillespie was that bad, not as bad as the likes of Sylla and Low etc that can play in the position. Plus, Gillespie scored a screamer away at West Ham in the 2004/05 season which I'll never forget.

What about, Richard Creswell? :dunno: Can't really remember if he was as poor as Akinbiyi etc but I know he was pretty poor. He scored very few goals for Leicester, might only have been one actually, but scored a hat trick at the Walkers against us for Preston

Some names popping up here who I'd completely forgotten about. For good reason.

Though he didn't play much, I though Luke O'Neill was diabolical.

Neil Lewis was pretty terrible. Didn't he have a pineapple? Or was that Jamie Lawrence?

  1. Zeljko Kalac
  2. Peter Canero
  3. Richard Smith
  4. Nicky Mahon
  5. Hossein Kaebi
  6. Junior Lewis
  7. Lee Marshall
  8. Josh Low
  9. Nathan Blake
  10. Elvis Hammond
  11. Graham Fenton

Playing a 4-3-3 Formation with Nathan "The Hitman" Blake spearheading an extremely blunt front trio. This little ensemble is managed by Mr. Peter Taylor. :scarf:

Kaebi made 3 appearances...

Frank Sinclair.

you must be trippin!

Definite midfield of:

Josh Low

Junior Lewis

Andy Johnson

Lee Marshall

Kevin Pressman has got to get a look in for being lobbed by a goalkeeper!?

*shudders*

i think Franck Rolling deserve a spot in there aswell

Blasphemy! he was actualy very good for us but for some reason O'Niell didnt like him... he did however help Franck fulfill his dream of playing in the premier league by bringing him on as a sub for like the last 2 mins of the last game of that season. !

Carl Cort was dreadful, and Kelvin Etuhu was shocking when he was here briefly in 2008.

Cort... truly dreadful.... how he was ever a 7m player once is beyond me....

GK - Kevin Pressman

RB - Lee Marshall

LB - Paul Friar

CB - Brian Carey

CB- Julian Watts

CM - Nathan Blake

CM - Lammie Robertson

CM - Junior Lewis

CF - Tommy English

CF - Jari Rantenen

CF - Roger Davies

Jari Rantenen! i remember when he signed... there was a story printed at the time how they struggled to find a pair of shorts big enough for him! lol they had to use an old pair of Bob Hazel's shorts in the end....

Ian Ormandroyd. He was as tall as Crouch but didn't have the skill, the heading ability, finishing, or the pace. Terrible.

<_< Now listen here, young man... you can take that kind of talk and go and support someone else!

Barry Hayles on the wing was an absolute disgrace

:o

he was actually quite skillful on the wing i thought.... not a whole bunch of end product though...

Akinbiyi should be in everyones team

Who would the manager be anyway?

100% agrrement!

manager should of course be Peter Taylor... MON would of been a hard task for ANY manager to follow though...

Spearing? As in Jay Spearing?

Tony Spearing...

You sir, have just committed the gravest of blasphemies! :o:cry::mad:

I was a bit harsh on Nicky Mahon and Richard Smith.... I cant really think of any stand out awfully bad centre backs we've had.

Shocking centre-backs ......does anyone else go back as far as Gregor Stevens ?????????

I do he was shocking, but Brian Carey was the worst for me; no pace, huge turning circle.

Ricky hill was absolutely shocking when he played for us during the infamous pleat era. Kev pressman has to be the worse keeper, I remember him being beaten by the other goalie's goal kick.

It's not easy to pick a team because there has been so many to choose from since from the Taylor era onwards. We've had an endless supply of has beens and never beens. Thankfully pearson and now Sven have reversed the trend!

That's an easy one

Frank McLintock

McLintock inherited a team in decline. While out of his depth as a manager, I wouldn't say he was as appalling as Pleat, Taylor or Holloway.

The sad thing is Taylor was in a wonderful position in March 2001- fourth in the Premier League, home quarter-final in the FA Cup and some favourable home fixtures to come in the league (our away form was terrible but we were strong at Filbert St).

We should've had an amazing season :(

Obviously I have to go by history books rather than actual experience as I'm too young to remember the Bloomfield/McLintock era but everything I've read and heard suggests that that team was spent and Bloomfield left at exactly the right time. Had McLintock come in as manager three or four years earlier when the team was at its zenith, he could well now be remembered as fondly as Bloomfield.

Worst managers in my time supporting the club were Taylor for destroying MON's legacy, Levein for promising a great deal but delivering the square root of jack and Holloway not just for taking us down, but for media whoring and attention seeking while we sunk. Though I like to pretend 07-08 never happened myself, not one individual connected with LCFC covered themselves with glory.
