LilMissFox Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 That was an amazing goal by Giggs, must admit though united been playing rather Shite
chili_con_carne Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Anyone watching the man city game know the song that was played just as the half time whistle blew. remember it from a while back, sounds a bit like the doves.
Corky Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Man City have had lots of possession but not worked the keeper enough. Napoli unlucky when they hit the bar.
purpleronnie Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Think Man C will suprise a few people then. There team is now world class, no doubt. And there's still a possibilty of Carlos staying (Unless Real Madrid or Arsenal swoop) They've such a tough group I'd be amazed if they went through. Really need a win tonight.
ScouseFox Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Good free kick that, City need to push on and get a winner, win all your home games and get something away in just 1, and you'll probably go through.
ScouseFox Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Inter Milan losing at home to Trabzonspor.
MC Prussian Posted 14 September 2011 Author Posted 14 September 2011 Basel VERY fortunate to win their home match against Galati. Absolute shambles of a performance, and the lucky penalty in the end was down to Streller's awful acting skills convincing enough to turn the Scottish referee's decision around. The Romanians are unbelievably weak, especially offensively. But hey - I'll take first place in a group with Benfica and ManU any day.
accessory Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Definitely two points dropped by Man City tonight. In a group as tough as theirs, home wins are vital. Quality show from Napoli though, on and off the pitch.

Surely they weren't that bad if he managed to convince the ref to change his mind....
Fox92 Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 I was really impressed with Napoli. Its like the first time I've seen them play and they did impress me. They have some wonderfully gifted players, like that Hamsick. Good finish as well, they always had 3 over when they were breaking against Manchester City.

MC Prussian Posted 15 September 2011 Author Posted 15 September 2011 Surely they weren't that bad if he managed to convince the ref to change his mind.... The referee didn't have the best spot on the pitch, long ball into the path of Streller, gets mixed up in between two defenders, trips easily. Manchester United and Benfica won't have to fear anything from Basel and even less from Galati, they're... crap, like.
ScouseFox Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 Bayern - City could be a very good game. Early chance for Dzeko and penalty shout for Silva.
ScouseFox Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 2-0, Joe Hart is raging, made a double save and got beaten by the third rebound for the first goal, and no marking, made a save yet got beaten by the rebound again for the second!
marko Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 Man United 2-2 Basel have looked really good going forward and could have easily scored a couple in the first half. What a cross for Basle's equaliser. Good header back across goal, as well. I can see Basel winning this. Edit: 3-2 Basel - unbelievable!!! Saying that, the penalty did look a bit soft.
jonthefox Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 welcome to the big league then man city. Also, why did he take dzeko off for de schlong?.
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 I know we should technically want Utd to win because we are English etc but 2-3, I'm in complete shock that a penalty was awarded at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
purpleronnie Posted 27 September 2011 Posted 27 September 2011 crackin match at OT. Can't remember such a bad start for english clubs in europe inc europa league only chelsea have won out of I think 10 games.
