Tielemans63 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Think I have a new favourite foreign side. I'm well impressed!
HEGGSY Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Absolutely fantastic tonight, I have a lot of respect for Athletic after this. To go to Old Trafford and dominate proceeding from start to finish is brilliant. Penalty to United and Rooney...scores.
Libertine Dream Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Fair play to Bilbao, played excellently and deserved to win. Shows that despite La Liga being a bit like the SPL the rest of them are still decent footballing teams. But still when will referees use common sense. Okay you must have footwear to play football but if it comes off in a game, not as a fault of the player then you can't give a free kick. Stop the game by all means but Utd should have the ball back in my opinion.
FoxyPV Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Rafael had a 'mare for the third. Channel 5 commentators said this was a humiliation along the lines of Basel - Bollocks! Bilbao were awesome. Utd deserved to lose.
Corky Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 I felt for De Gea, made a great save and his defender just gave up and allowed the Bilbao a free run.
stix Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 Good atmosphere at Bilbao. Bilbao lead 1-0 Llorente Great goal on the volley
VinceNoir Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 Bilbao are class and United are poor. If Iraola would've tucked that one away a few minutes ago, it would've been an amazing individual goal!
BlueSi13 Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 Bilbao has quite an atmosphere. To be fair they are a side that haven't had much success and they are now watching their team comfortably beat the world biggest football club. As for Manchester United, from being the second best team in Europe to perhaps not being in the top 20-30 in just a single year, WHAT a decline.
HEGGSY Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 UNITED OUT! Bilbao deserved it thoroughly, been brilliant over both legs.
BoneDog Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 Bilbao are class and United are poor. If Iraola would've tucked that one away a few minutes ago, it would've been an amazing individual goal! It was such a shame he didn't score with that chance. It was so awesome I was laughing my head off. The control and skill! It prorbably would have been the best goal he ever scored, being a defender.
Salieri Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 Man City currently 0-2 at home against Sporting (0-3 on aggregate). Oh dear.
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 Glad on both counts. It's farcical that just because a team gets knocked out of the Champions League they are automatically entered into the Europa League.
BlueSi13 Posted 15 March 2012 Posted 15 March 2012 Something tells me Mancini's time is running out at Manchester City.
