leicesterseddon Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 That twat singing before kick-off was awful. Absolutely awful. Sums up what has become modern football, along with the advertising shell that has become our stadium. That's what you get when football people aren't in charge. Thing is, most of the people at the ground these days aren't football fans...

funkyrobot Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Give him a guitar and he'd have passed for Hendrix Give him a guitar and he'd have passed for Hendrix Are you in a cave?
Fox92 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Lets stop this and just have those birds with rat pack, but with no rat pack. It was better entertainment than the match.
KingDarius Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 You boring cvnts. If we had won this thread would not exist. [/quote Too right .
Fox92 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 You boring cvnts. If we had won this thread would not exist. This maybe sarcasm from you, I don't know. But at the end of the day I have paid and come to watch Leicester City against whoever, not go some funfair rides and watch X-Factor rejects. (I would not boo though when he has took him time to sing in front of people which can be nervous). Ok, I thought this maybe good for the Madrid game because of the game etc but if we are going to do this every home match, we may become the laughing stock of the league.
blueharmie Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 afro boy hardley got the crowd going. Its embarassing, piss off. who thinks of these stupid ideas? and why is the sound system so stupidly loud? all needs sorting out mr ramplukisoonmattmillsishiteeeesoonnn. was hilarious to boo him, the geezer cant sing for shit.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 The fans village is apparently going to be used 5 more times across the season I believe, and then they will assess its impact. Don't know if that includes shit x factor guests though.

YES.. so you got what you paid for.. who gives a shit what happens on the pitch before the match.. nothing to stop people chanting there own songs..
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 I agree the whole entertainment thing is a joke. None of the Reading fans clapped any of the that shit and I wonder why. In fact I will tell you why - it is cringeworthy, embarrassing and not right for a football match where there is supposed to be atmosphere. Its not a teddy bears picnic fgs and it really isnt us just being boring *****. Who actually wants to watch that crap?

YES.. so you got what you paid for.. who gives a shit what happens on the pitch before the match.. nothing to stop people chanting there own songs.. Didn't mean to offend you, just added my own opinion to this thread. And, I think we should all care what happens on the pitch. Its our club, without fans there wouldn't be a club, so we can have a say in the matter if we like.
hbkkids Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 agree, its getting to much, dancers, singers, fairground rides outside, WE JUST WANT TO WATCH LEICESTER!!!!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Give him a guitar and he'd have passed for Hendrix Give him a guitar and he'd have passed for Hendrix Are you in a cave? It would explain the echo. He was awful though. I've heard better in karaoke bars.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 agree, its getting to much, dancers, singers, fairground rides outside, WE JUST WANT TO WATCH LEICESTER!!!! To be fair the rides were free and the dodgems were a laugh BUT KP must have paid a fair bit to the fair to do that. I rather they put that money into reducing the concourse prices back to what they were and/or reducing ticket prices. Like you say if we wanted a fair we would go to alton towers.
Len Finsbury Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 I don't understand the reason behind the X Factor fella today. If he had sung his own songs rather than covers of other peoples then it may have had some credibility. As he didn't, they might as well have just played the original.
MC Prussian Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Bring back the Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 It's becoming to get annoying. A circus for the X-Factor Rejects. We'll have Jedward on Wednesday.

Agree, the stadium has never had the atmosphere that Filbert St did and now with all the advertising and particularly that sterile banner around the roof it's beginning to loose what little soul it had. It's been years since I last went to a reasonable ground that didn't have a scoreboard..we might have screens that show"time played" occasionally but most of the time it's adverts about an airline that neither I or any of my mates have any intention of using anytime some (am sure some business minded cretin is now going to bang on about revenue but there is a limit!)
StarFox Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Can't believe these comments. It doesn't matter if you like Jamie Archer or not (who I don't I might add) but its 100x better than what it normally is. LCFC is a family club and others may have enjoyed the entertainment. Sometimes I think people love a good winge at the expense of possibly losing out on future creative ideas the club might have. I'll put it another way, sooner or later an opportunity may come along for an act you like to perform, but you'll be missing out because ya love complaining. <_<

I'll put it another way, sooner or later an opportunity may come along for an act you like to perform, but you'll be missing out because ya love complaining. <_< Thats the point though. Its not a pop concert or a dance show. Its a football match plain and simple. I would guess most people were totally uninterested in a load of wannabes singing cover versions (badly) down a crackling tannoy. Family club it may be, cabaret club it isnt. Frankly I think it kills off any prematch tension and atmosphere. Fair enough have a stage outside if it is really that important but dont force it upon us inside the stadium.
Wymsey Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Wasn't impressed with the 'professional' thai dancers or whatever they were doing prior to kick-off, I could've done better myself. As for entertainment, activities such as mini-golf and dodgems are great ideas, getting the family together and enjoying themselves before kick-off etc. But with the singing of the three guys today and that guy with that ridiculous hair-style, it's a bit over the top. It's a football club, not a concert or whatever.
David Lowe Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Agree, the stadium has never had the atmosphere that Filbert St did and now with all the advertising and particularly that sterile banner around the roof it's beginning to loose what little soul it had. The scoreboard situation is very poor. We used to have a proper clock and the 90 minute clock showing throughout the whole match. Now when it gets to 90 minutes and you want to know how many minutes are left you have no idea.
Bezzanator89 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Ohhhhhhh, your singing is dire.... Enough witht he X Factor rejects. They didn't win for a reason. God forbid, we actually may be unfortunate enough to have Cher Lloyd insulting our pitch by walking on it. But no more pre-match dancing or singing, it's an unnecessary cost, and the booing said it all, the fans don't think much of it.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Same with the 'Fan Village' everyone knows it's just a fun fair. It's a football match, If you wanna go on rides, go Alton Towers, or wait till the Gyppo's come to town.
