Hammond Organ Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 If Everton are willing to sell Beckford for 3m... It begs the question.... who do they think they can get for 3m that is Better than Beckford? Or how much will it take to get the banks off their back?
Toffee_Fox Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 The surely you sell someone of value, then 4 first team players for minimal fees? We bid more for Yak than their first choice striker and top goalscorer, if Everton felt the need to get rid of one, its common sense to sell the one of bigger money who can't get a game/
Waghorn 14- LEGEND. Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Beckford would be a good buy, its just wether he'd beable to play alongside Nugent and Vassell..
leicesterisme Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 wasnt moyes after daniel ssturridge.. 3 million wouldn't get Daniel Sturridges right leg.
leicesterseddon Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 If Everton are willing to sell Beckford for 3m... It begs the question.... who do they think they can get for 3m that is Better than Beckford? I don't think they're selling to re-invest... In any case, I don't think they'd accept £3m for him.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 3 million wouldn't get Daniel Sturridges right leg. Year long loan for him for £3mill.
m00nie Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 3 million wouldn't get Daniel Sturridges right leg. 3m was the figure that was said to be needed to loan him for the season..
leicesterisme Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 3m was the figure that was said to be needed to loan him for the season.. Oh ok fair enough then I didn't no that.
Raw Dykes Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 In June, Chelsea said they valued Daniel Sturridge at £20m.
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I rarely post on here, but this is from someone who knows the Neville family very well, I know his son and daughter (same secondary school). But we are still in for Beckford, pulled out for Maynard, due to Brizzle wanting 6 mill. Don't have to believe me, but that's what's been said.

I understand that you might of heard something about Beckford, but how do you know about Maynard?
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 The person also said due to Bristol City wanting 6 mill that they have better targets for a cheaper fee, beckford. I tried asking about Bamba but said nothing. He basically said 'I shouldn't be telling you what's happening'. Shall have to wait and see.
Ross_Spencer Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 @Fourth_OfficialFourth Official Jermaine Beckford is a doubt for Everton's game tomorrow with a knee "injury" as is Saha, bring on the 4-6-0 #EFC
bald reynard Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 It's very interesting that 4th Official says Beckford is out of the Everton LC game with a knee 'injury' (he put the quotes in !). Is this a cover for his possible transfer out later in the week - there have been a few reports now of, "a striker in to City by the weekend" ?!
Kilworthfox Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Why would JB want to go down to the championship? Makes no sence at all! Everton must be paying him a very good wage as he moved there on a free.
ronnup Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Would be a terrible career move for him after establishing himself as a Prem striker.
topharry123 Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Why would JB want to go down to the championship? Makes no sence at all! Everton must be paying him a very good wage as he moved there on a free. He'll be there next year anyway. Everton have not improved at all during the summer, yet many teams that finished below them last year have. Can see Everton fighting for their lives this season!

Can see Everton fighting for their lives this season! Me too, hence snapping up the 14/1 on them going down!
