WhenYourSmiling Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Is anyone else getting fed up with all the talk of strikers. Every time a name is mentioned we lose out. Whats going on? Its all starting to depress me now.
Babylon Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Is anyone else getting fed up with all the talk of strikers. Every time a name is mentioned we lose out. Whats going on? Its all starting to depress me now. Who have we "lost out on" apart from Keane and Long, which are hardly surprising considering the other offers they had. If you go for good players you have competition from good teams.
FrankieADZ Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 as Babylon said we've not lost out loads of players, we've been linked with a bucket load....so you cant really say we're losing out when we've only been linked to players in the media
lestajigs Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 I'm fed up, that we are half way into august, and nit brought, a decent goalscorer........ BUT appently we've made a fresh bid for Maynard, so who no s!!
Darkon84 Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 I'm fed up of people saying we have 'missed out' on strikers.
sbfox Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Yeah, I'm fed up that players choose not to come to play for Leicester. I'm fed up that they don't want to relocate their families to different parts of the country. I'm fed up that other players just don't rate our club as highly as we do. Mostly, I'm fed up that lots of our fans think that signing players is like playing Football Manager. "Sign him on loan for 6 months, get him off the wage bill", as if this is how transfers work. As if player's contracts are highly fought over pieces of paper, with words and clauses being debated for hours on end. Come on people! I'm sure that Sven and his team are doing all they can to sign a striker. Unfortunately life isn't quite as simple as some of you make out.

Well said, and to that end close this depressing thread, we are going to get some strikers and that is it

Nugent can't do everything on his own, he needs a (good) partner.
MC Prussian Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 To quote the (in)famous Col city fan: "We should've gone for Kun Agüero" Now we're doomed.
WhenYourSmiling Posted 16 August 2011 Author Posted 16 August 2011 Blimey, lots of negative stuff coming my way. Anyone would think i'd just shot Filbert Fox. Calm down folks. I'm just saying it depresses me because I see good strikers like Derbyshire and Miller being snapped up by Forest. How come THEY aren't having problems getting strikers?

Mate, we are trying to sign strikers i.e the Yak and Santa Cruz on loan, and Ebanks Blake, their is still hope don't despair
funkyrobot Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Who have we "lost out on" apart from Keane and Long, which are hardly surprising considering the other offers they had. If you go for good players you have competition from good teams. We also lost out on CMS
Austin Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Think we should sign the big dude wearing black. WHAT. THE. FUDGE.
Zingari Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Think we should sign the big dude wearing black. the team in red look to have a massive disadvantage in that game
cc_star Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 No, I'm fed up that the manager hasn't been able fill a hole he's identified as needing filling Using CMS, failing for Yakubu, Maynard, Keane & Long having dead-ends with numerous other links & now going back in for Yakubu The situation is something to be fed up about... Still a few goals against bottom club brizzle tmrw would make most on here forget Sven's & the clubs need.

I'd be more prolific than Derbyshire, calm down, im sure we'll have someone in the next week or so.
