NeilyBoy Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I don't give a flying fcuk who gets Maynard now. IF we have signed Beckford, I hope that bid/signing (and the Jelavic bid) was a big middle finger up to the Brizzle chairman saying "we can afford him but you've dicked us around and held us to ransom. ****k you" I've wasted some time on these threads but at least I can say I wasn't really aware of who Maynard was before everyone on here was wanking over him!! I agree, but would add that I reckon Sven also thinks he's better off with this deal anyway or he would have made the necessary bid for Maynard. Perhaps part of the attraction in Maynard was the idea of removing the sting from another team in our league but Sven didn't deem that worthy of the money requested?
inmemoryofdoreen Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Just thought i`d throw this in, looking at rumours on sky sports website, 2 different newcastle fans said they had seen him and his agent at st james park tonight, make of that what you will!

The damage Maynard could do to us this season is already 50% complete, so it follows the only thing BC can do now is to keep winning with Maynard's goal's eventually putting them above us in the league (unlikely in the extreme)

That's a worrying call..could see him at Newcastle!
He's not bald Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I think you just agreed with me. Think your probably right Maynard..apologies. it's been a long and so far unproductive and disappointing day!
AKCJ Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 :frantics: :celebrate: Woohoo, no more Maynard speculation!!
Adster Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Feel sorry for that user 'MaynardWillBeAFox' now..

Naah, if anything, I'd say it's the other way round. Even with maynard, I don't see brizzle finishing above us, however Maynard might be able to take points off some of our rivals! A few goals from him against West Ham and Brighton would be nice.
CKB Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 So afterall this time we finally si.......... ...oh!
ScottybRAF1553 Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Maynard Who gives a toss beckford should be quality Would be rather angry this morning if I was an everton fan they appear to have sold some good players and brought in so unproven jokers. Funny as
MC Prussian Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 :frantics: :celebrate: Woohoo, no more Maynard speculation!! ... until we sign him in the January transfer window or at the end of the season for a piece of cake.
Dicko Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Forget Maynard now, we've signed a better player in Beckford and we don't need Maynard anymore! Not now and not in January! Maynard is massively overhyped anyway.
MikeyT Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Can we close the thread now please...or does this mean we continue speculating till January?
kyle09uk Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 My contact told me he is still on his way And should be playing against barnsley come saturday Watch this space! *whistles*
MC Prussian Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Can we close the thread now please...or does this mean we continue speculating till January? Yeah, it should be closed. Can't see any more serious rumours to be added to this thread. *looks back at the other Maynard monster thread (160+ pages) and the other Maynard thread* Then again...
Spudulike Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Loving some of the comments on OTIB. They sound a bit upset "Boo, we've just thrown away a small fortune to keep an overated modern day footballing mercenary, who will no doubt see out his current contract and walk away for nothing next summer. Yep, that sure is a great bit of business that is." "Not leaving today, but he'll no doubt be going in January or at the end of the season. And, in the meantime, my guess is that we'll have a demotivated and disinterested player on our hands, who is clearly biding his time before he can leave." Awriiiight me babbers
Happy Fox Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 StringerSport Ian Stringer @ @Linseyhart10 he turned City down I believe, strange 8 minutes ago

thybluefox Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 I'll laugh even if come January or next summer, there's no Premiership interest and he has to settle for a larger championship club.
Libertine Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Fair play to him if it's for non-footballing reasons.
