One penalty, one error by Weale and a free kick can't be counted as lapses in defence! Literally have no idea who we'll get as our striker lol

actually, that one is quite possible....

The very fact that we have been throwing around striker bids like a demented kid throwing confetti at a wedding suggests one bid will stick somewhere.

Ive said all along we won't get promoted with Bamba in defence. Not overly keen on Bikey though, just get Tunch back him and Mills would be quality if he can stay fit.

Bamba has been emense so far this season, so is it more that you want him to play bad to make your prediction right or are you prepared to give the guy the credit he is due, as the form defender so far.

I for one would worry if we had tunch and mills, the lack of pace there would be a major downfall, I hope this us bull despite his bombs scare moments, on his day Bamba is probably the best cb in the league.

A beast of a player! Boateng would have got nowhere near the ball had Bikey been on the field - The ball and Boateng would have been in Row Z - Game over 3 points thank you very much!!

Leicester City are understood to be weighing up an offer for Burnley defender Andre Amougou as well as closing in on a new striker.

A source in the north-west told the Mercury that Amougou is available at around £1.5million.

The 26-year-old Cameroon international, who changed his name from Bikey in the summer, appeared at one stage to be on the way to Scottish Premier club Rangers.

Amougou is an experienced defender who has played in the top flight with Reading and featured regularly in the Championship over the past five years.

Andrew Neville, City's football operations director, has told the BBC that the club are "actively looking to add to the squad."

However, Neville, speaking on Radio Leicester's Football Forum, declined to comment on the club's interest in Bristol City's Nicky Maynard.

"We have identified a lot of players, but signing a striker is the most difficult position to fill," he said.

"We are hopeful of making some progress and, hopefully, by Saturday we will have someone on board. We are trying to add to the squad but we won't be pushed into a corner with only a few days left of the transfer window." There are reports that Martyn Waghorn may be involved in a player exchange as part of an improved offer to land Maynard, who scored twice against City last week.

Waghorn has also been linked with a £1.5m move to Southampton but Neville said: "That's the first I have heard of it."

City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has been linked with a move for Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

Southampton are also reportedly interested in the 25-year-old winger.

But he has been knocked back in moves for Everton's Jermaine Beckford and Manchester City's Roque Santa Cruz.

Neville also said that negotiations will be taking place to offer new deals to defender Sol Bamba and striker Darius Vassell. "There does come a stage when we look at players' contracts and we will no doubt look at this during the season," he said.

Eriksson has slapped a "not-for-sale" sign on Bamba after Blackburn made a reported £3m bid for the Ivory Coast defender.

The City boss is still trying to find the right central defensive formation to shore up a back-line which has conceded six goals in the past three games.

Skipper Matt Mills was restored to the starting line-up for Saturday's 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest.

He had been dropped for the home clash with Bristol City but his stand-in, Sean St Ledger, appeared to be at fault for Bristol City's second goal in their shock win.

Speculation: According to reports in the Leicester Mercury, Leicester City are weighing up a £1.5million bid for Burnley's Cameroon international Andre Amougou.

It's Andre Bikey, pal. He's changed his name.

There's already a thread about him

**** this, we don't need another centre back, just recall Tunchev. Is this an admission that his signings are shite? Worrying.

I believe this might come off, it seems Sven wants 2 players in every position doesn't he, meaning Tunchev may be left out or be loaned or released.

Mills

Bamba

Bikey

St Ledger

There is two in each centre back position, so it adds depth but some of them won't be happy. People were thinking the move for Bikey would see Bamba leave us, but I see in the Mercury we have offered him a new deal.

Palace fans have been raving about tunchev so id be really pissed off if we let him go. We'd be insane!
