Worst Moment As A City Fan

Relegation to League One excluded, mine has to be our league cup final defeat to Spurs.

Losing in the playoffs to Cardiff.

That feeling after Kermorgant took his penalty will haunt me forever. I think I just sat in silence for about an hour, I just didn't want to say a word, I was fuming.

And Kermo's penalty actually. Like Ozwin said I just didn't really understand what had happened. But there was pride there, when we went down it was just despair.

Everyone will probably say the same things so I'll add the defeat to Swindon back in 1993 after coming back from 3 down to lose 4-3.

Strange how this match didn't even come to my mind!

Absolutely awful night, I've never stood and stared at the opposition celebrating for so long! Sickening!

An experience not to be repeated!

Wycombe.

I was just a little kid back then, that header by Essandoh will haunt me forever. That and seeing it advertised for the FA Cup

3-0 up at Wolves as well, that hurt a lot.

Every time we have a lead and throw it away.

4-3 to Newcastle and Wolves after being 3-1 and fvcking 3-0 up were bad days.

Cardiff was pretty bad, not loosing as such but the way it happened more than anything.

When we lost 3-2 to Sheffield Wednesday at home before actually getting relegated was awful too.

Cardiff was a strange mix of emotions: anger, disappointment but also pride. Really wasn't expecting anything from the game so to go up on aggregate and then get to penalties was unexpected. A sickening way to end a great season, I really think we would have won at Wembley had we got there.

Spurs at Wembley for me at the time was disappointing but don't think I really appreciated how big a deal a cup final was at that time. Tranmere meant a lot more the year after though.

Stoke when we got relegated was obviously bad but there was a feeling of inevitability about the whole thing. Felt worse after the Sheffield Wednesday home game I think so I think that'd have to be it. Went to Stoke expecting the worst but up until the Wednesday game I had faith we'd get out of it. Utter dejection after that one.

The Bolton 5-0 on the opening day, Wolves 3-0 up and 4-3 down, Forest 5-1, Ipswitch 6-1, Wycombe FA Cup all up there.

Forest 5-1 or Portsmouth 6-1

Of course, the Sheffield Wednesday game when we went 1-0 then ended up losing 3-2 to almost guarantee relegation was a horrific moment as well.

Play Off Semi Final Loss.... absolutely sickening.

Seems a bit OTT, but couldn't sleep that night, just thinking of what could've been... took me ages to forget about it (well not constantly thinking about THAT penalty). The Kermorgant Song slightly helped to amuse me, but just don't wanna be reminded of it now...

But the day we go up, it shall be listened to! :P

Going into administration wasnt pretty.

Swindon in the playoffs was deflating

Relegation to league one was gutting

Not getting a piece of filbert street was frustrating

Relegation to league one.

Spurs defeat in league cup final.

Forest 5-1

Middlesborough 3-3 draw, after being 3-1 up with only 3 minutes stoppage time to play. Awful day.

Wolves 3 up at HT only to lose 4-3.

EDIT: Oh and Cardiff a few years back in the play-offs. Truely gutting that was.
