If we get a penalty I vote Gelson takes it ha

Howard if he's on the bench, bring him on for it! Oh that would piss them Cardiff fans off big time, of course if he missed then we shall just cry abit

I couldn't give a flying fuck how a manager conducts himself on the touchlines, be it reserved or mental, as long as the chap wins games.

We've had our share of ranters that've won the square root of bugger all, it makes no odds to me.

Really pleased this thread is here because I was literally just thinking how sure I am we are going to get 3 lovely points on Sunday

Our reserves nearly beat you so our first team is going to give you a damn good hiding.

I couldn't give a monkeys about the cup, this season is about one thing: promotion, and I think you will find that out tomorrow.

Is Nugent not ready to return yet? :(

Can't wait for him to come back, his partnership with Beckford will be unstoppable. :yesyes:

Sven said Nugent may be ready for Sunday, but if not he will definitely start on Wednesday.

Everyone said holloway was a breath of fresh air, look where that got us. Pearson was animated and would come over to the fans but his interviews and pr skills are nowhere near svens IMO. We've got faz who seems to be a bit more animated anyway? I'd have sven over any manager in the championship, and a good few in the prem too.

Our reserves nearly beat their reserves mate. We made 10 changes and they made 7 so they were definitely resting a few up for tomorrow. That said, although I was disappointed that we lost on Wednesday, you're right that this season is about promotion and it's time we gave Cardiff a good thrashing. 5-1 to Leicester anyone?

Yes I am sick of Cardiff, I really enjoyed my trip for the play-off semi, good day out, excellent support from us and a cracking performance, however after that shootout defeat I vowed I was never going again unless it's a play-off game, or promotion is riding on it, and so far I have not changed my view.

I hope we finally return with 3 points on sunday.

Agree. I can't go back there yet, unless it was a major game.

Won't get over that game til the day we do get promoted

I think we'll go 2-0 up. Two goals in quick succession from about 15 minutes. You'll get back in to it 2nd half. Score a dodgy penalty, resulting in Kasper being sent off for sneezing too loud and then you'll equalise in the 90th minute clambering Chris Weale in the process.

Whatever the scoreling we will not get a positive word said about us on sky "spent far too much money herp derp" can see it now. Well up for this think out luck could change

If we win it'll be our best result of the season.

Why? How? We've beat high flying Southampton AND Brighton. Can't get any better than that to be honest.

I see what you're saying, but to go away and beat a team who finished in the top six for the last two years and have started well again would be better for me.

And you wonder why other teams' supporters think we're full of ourselves now we have money

3-1 to Leicester. We'll have learnt from the shoot out defeat and we'll come away with a fairly comfortable win.

Agreed. Soton in particular were very very good, but if we want to go up this season we need to be beating those teams at home. Cardiff away on the other hand... As said earlier, id take a point right now. Would be nice to win especially as its televised. That may enable fans of other clubs to make a proper judgement on us rather than going with the negativity that's been broadcast by the media up to now.

He certainly has, but at this moment I would prefer a hungry, ambitious, enthusiastic 39 year old Malky Mackay than a sedate elder statesman like Sven. Just my opinion but we've had a few Q & A sessions around the area with Malky, wonderful to see and hear him interacting with the fans, not ducking any questions and generally playing the PR role brilliantly (obviously time will tell with results,as always). I do think that Sven's successful days are behind him now mind, don't think any of the Italian giants will be coming knocking for him in the future. The reason I criticised him is because, although we got a Cup final and play off final under him, Dave Jones was cut from the same cloth, I travel to all away games and it's been a revelation to see Malky joining the players in coming over to us at the end of the game, a bit of appreciation for the travelling support goes a long way in my book and my original post was about that. The Leicester fans deserved a bit more passion from their bench, trust me, we've had the "air of nonchalance" attitude and now we've got "the fist pumping, we're all in this together" attitude and I know which one I prefer.

reminds me of martin allen...full of energy, eager, played up to the fans etc....shit manager!.

id take half of what sven brings to the table over mackay any day of the week.

Seems from tweets that the players travelled back. Surprised they didn't all stay there for a few dayd tbh.

I expect they're trying to do things differently from last year when we had to play Portsmouth away twice in one week. The squad stayed on the south coast between games, and it resulted in a disastrous defeat.

A draw wouldn't be a bad result really, but I really think it's starting to come together nicely now, so I am hoping for a win.

I know I'll probably regret raking up this old grave, but I would like to know what fans of the Welsh clubs playing in the English leagues think on the matter.

We'll lose, in a pretty boring game where you get one in each half out of nothing really, and nothing else worthy of being reported occurs.

2-0. Whittingham & Miller.
