Happy Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Mark Hughes is in talks with Leicester with the view to becoming their manager #Lcfc Apologies for doubting the wisdom of Toffee Fox
I am Rod Hull Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 My 4th choice but oh well.... Beggars cant be choooosers !!!
Libertine Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 That's more like it. Still a risk as he's not gotten anything like a promotion but would be a lot more confident with him in, done a good job everywhere he's been really. We'd see a lot more red cards for Mills though!
Happy Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Author Posted 29 October 2011 Too true, I wouldn't mind Hughes although he hasn't managed at this level could do a reasonable job.
Thracian Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Look well if everyone accepts. We could have 15 managers by Monday morning - or will it be one manager and 14 Directors/Assistant Directors of Football?

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Would be a good appointment, surprised he would take a job at this level actually. Anyone from Davies, Hughes, Clark or Robinson would be a good choice.

cc_star Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Great manager, who did good work for Wales, Blackburn, Fulham & was building something good at ManCity before the billions complicated the issue. after MoN, who lets face it isn't coming, Hughes is the best bet... wouldn't need a ridiculous DoF through not being a big enough name either
BIEREDeLuxe Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 It's gotta be asked - why wasn't he in talks with them on Monday night?? He could have been working with the players from Tuesday the board have money but seemingly no football acumen.
BMR Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Will do for me, certainly better than keegan/clarke
SMX11 Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I think I would prefer this to the Clark, Keegan partnership. Strong character, done pretty well wherever he has gone to and has excelled at clubs similar in size to us.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Goes to show how quickly things change and how difficult is to be "ITK"! I was told by someone who would know that Hughes wasn't interested in it. Either nonsense or a change of heart by the looks of it. Would probably do a decent job but I've never liked him and his recent comments on Fulham and Tevez haven't helped either.
mowmacrefox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Mark Hughes Blue Army :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
purpleronnie Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Would be a good appointment, surprised he would take a job at this level actually. Anyone from Davies, Hughes, Clark or Robinson would be a good choice. Premiership jobs dont come up that often, doubt he'd want to go abroad, he'll be on a fair whack aswell.

BIEREDeLuxe Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 With the exception of MON (who was never coming back anyway) he's light years ahead of all the others that have supposedly been in talks/approached. He's basically done well at every club he's been at, as well as the Welsh national job. That should show you he's very adaptable.

It's 3 points lost. A new manager normally provides a boost. Only one goal in it. What if the play offs are missed by 3 points at the end of the season? or even one point?
breadandcheese Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I'd much prefer Hughes to this Clark/Keegan rumour.
