Happy Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Author Posted 29 October 2011 Is anyone coming to the conclusion that this is like Man City all over again. Will a Sheik take over us in the near future?
Narborough_fox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I got told by someone the day Sven was sacked that he was a front runner and this came up. I will never doubt him again.
MikeyT Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Anything's better than Mclaren, Dowie, Keane etc.
Jon the Hat Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Christ when Dowie and Davies have been mentioned I would be ****ing delighted with Hughes.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Can I just point out that the last time he took over a team from Sven, they finished lower. Just think it might have some bearing like.
Fmfox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 It's 3 points lost. A new manager normally provides a boost. Only one goal in it. What if the play offs are missed by 3 points at the end of the season? or even one point? then we can blame the mill wall match or the forest match or any other match where we didnt win

jonthefox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Hughes has got to be a mile ahead of half the clowns weve been linked with. The mans quality.
EnderbyFox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I'm unsure, i still think Dowie is the right man.
mancunianfox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Does anyone else think it would be pretty ironic if Sven got replaced by Hughes twice??
Benji Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Probably the only man apart from MON (who's been linked) that could walk into the dressing room and have immediate respect from the players. I agree with what someone said earlier in Chat, Clark just has a Martin Allen feel about it.
Hitesh Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Does anyone else think it would be pretty ironic if Sven got replaced by Hughes twice?? Yep and slightly worrying too!
inckley fox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I mean no disrespect but I've quietly read this site for a while and have only recently posted. I'm reading back over past threads and can't help but thinking that Mr. Bert has become some sort of legend round these parts by saying that everyone under the sun is in talks with Leicester (not only this time round but also in the past, regarding players). Eventually one of this lot is bound to be the manager. I think a few hours ago it was Clark and Keegan, unless I'm grossly mistaken. We can all do that. Curbishley in talks with Leicester as we speak. And Keegan, and Clark, and Hughes, and Freedman, and Di Matteo and Billy Davies. Personally I'd love it to be Jean Tigana or someone equally unlikely, just so no-one whatsoever with (or, if we're truthful, without) inside info can claim to have been correct. It's a bit like the woman who was heralded as a prophet for saying the Titanic would sink, only for it to turn out she'd said the same thing about every ship to sail from Southampton for the past decade.

No offence, but don't open this Bert bashing can of worms again. He says what he knows, take it or leave it.

Totally agree, this bert inside knowledge thing is bollocks...
Kitchandro Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 No offence, but don't open this Bert bashing can of worms again. He says what he knows, take it or leave it. He says what he thinks he knows. His sources have been letting him down quite a bit lately.
Spudulike Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 The players should be worried.....likes hard training and takes no shit. Mark Hughes, come on down
Fox 4 Life Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 The players should be worried.....likes hard training and takes no shit. Mark Hughes, come on down Exactly what we need!
cc_star Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 He doesn't know anything about Hughes, he was simply repeating Fourth Official He did state Clark/Keegan were in though from his sources. If you don't like his info don't listen to him, but slating someone who gets more right than wrong is pointless
