Kitchandro Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I'll say one thing, if we pick Clark over Davies then Top is insane. That would make no sense at all. Davies would be a very good choice, there would be logc behind his appointment.
Jacko Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Billy Davies - the man lives in Scotland fpr f@*k sake !!! Not exactly commited is he?, which is one of the main reasons he left the trees. Does anyone really want to give £10 mill' to a man who can't be arsed to turn up to work every day? He knows the championship, but look what he did when he got Derby up, he bought a load of crap and got em relegated 1/2 way through the season. The only good thing he's done is making Derby the laughing stock they deserved to be, for that i'd buy him a drink not give him a job NO THANKS , STAY IN SCOTLAND
Happy Fox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I despise the c**t but I know for a fact he will get this team up
SMX11 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Mark Hughes would obviously be the outstanding candidate but I can't see him coming here. If that is the case Billy is the only option for me.

The only good thing he's done is making Derby the laughing stock they deserved to be, for that i'd buy him a drink not give him a job NO THANKS , STAY IN SCOTLAND BD stayed in an apartment about two floors above mine when he was at Forest. I'm sure he did go back to Scotland regularly, but I'm guessing things have moved on up there and they probably have telephones, DVDs and internet access, too ??? If my life depended on us getting up this season, he's the man I'd want to see in charge....... and he can spend his 'non-contact' days in Bulgaria for all I care.
Cecchini1976 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Billy Davis, no f ing way, did not do a good job at Forest = sack & Derby fans hate him with a passion( even before he took over Forest). And when he played for us he used to reminded me of a statue, never moved.
Kitchandro Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Billy Davis, no f ing way, did not do a good job at Forest = sack & Derby fans hate him with a passion( even before he took over Forest). And when he played for us he used to reminded me of a statue, never moved. Well, he did. And Derby fans hate him because he went to Forest (and, incidentally, Forest fans really like him).
Jimmy Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 he failed at Forest as he didn't pick his own signings, he'd beg them for a left back (they still don't have 1 that's not on loan) and they'd bring in another striker, season before last with 1 or 2 more players, that the Forest board refused to provide and they would of got promoted in 2nd place. BD is aquality manager and he'll get us in the play offs at least and he'll play good football. Forest fans wanted him back when Schteve walked out
whoareyaaa Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Dont know why you all hate him, after MON I would want Davies.. proved time and time again he can do the job and will kick shit into our players when we are struggling. he aint that bad, did he touch you all up when you was 2yrs old or something
ADAMSKI97 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Billy Davies would be an excellent choice his track record in the Championship is second to none, ex player to! forget the travelling this is 2011 East Midlands Airport to Glasgow is only 30 mins away, we need a manager with the passion and the drive to take is there and dont forget this guy got Nugent scoring for fun for Preston in his spell there, ok so he is confrontational and likes total control but wasnt Martin O'Neill the same! every top manager has an edge !
yorkie1999 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 having derby and forest hate our manager Is what we need to create a bit of so called passion
funkyrobot Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Billy Davies would be a poor appointment, is it so he can get a hatrick of fails in the east midlands?
jamesmilner Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 BILLY DAVIS ! top has met him before . top doesnt like him . and thats period !
Tielemans63 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 1. MON 2. HUGHESY 3. BILLY D 4. LEE CLARK I'd wouldn't be unhappy with any of them to be honest although I think it might be too much, too soon for LC. I do think the top 2 are excellent candidates, I think Billy would do a good job though.
GH1 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Disagree. He has achieved promotion once I believe. He is a long way down the list for me And if he did get us up Top would stay loyal and then we are royally screwed

Danny Mills-loan Mile Sterjovski-undisclosed Laurent Robert-free Roy Carroll-free transfer Robbie Savage- £1.5million Alan Stubbs-free transfer Emanuael Villa -£2million Ruben Zadkovich-free transfer Hardly splahing the cash!
Finchy Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I swear some people on here pay absolutely no attention to football outside of Leicester at all. How you can say Billy Davies is a failure is beyond me. Just because he's only got over the final hurdle once makes him a failure? Name the last team he made worse, name the last team he didn't have a promotion chase with. 2 play offs with PRESTON! 2 play offs with Forest and a promotion with Derby. Look at the recent history of those clubs, the only good moments they've had over the last 10 or so years, longer with Preston, were thanks to Billy Davies. Great manager at this level, just what we need right now.
Tuna Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Did he really have loads to spend when he got Derby up? Danny Mills-loan Mile Sterjovski-undisclosed Laurent Robert-free Roy Carroll-free transfer Robbie Savage- £1.5million Alan Stubbs-free transfer Emanuael Villa -£2million Ruben Zadkovich-free transfer Hardly splahing the cash! Virtually all of those signings weere made by paul jewell.
funkyrobot Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Why do u want a manager that has proved that he isn't good enough to manage any higher than the championship? Surely with the amount being spent, we want a manager who can progress the team after we finally get in to the premier league?
Fox2323 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Billy Davis would be a good manager, I remember people saying simliar things about Neil warnock not being good enough but look what he's doing now with qpr
Ozwin Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Thing with Davies is he's an undeniable, cretinous bellend of the highest order. Even if he took us to the promise land I don't think I could ever fully get behind him. He only does well in this division because of his dirty tactics.

No idea why so many peoples fanny's are gushing over the guy.
I am Rod Hull Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Meh ! He`s the man we need. Love the bloke. Solid stuff, no namby pamby crap....
STUHILL Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Surprised that the amount who want him here. Obviously he has done well in this league over the years but do we really want a NOB like that here??! I know it shouldn't really matter but I still want to have a manager I actually like rather than someone like him or keane!! Plus the idea of him unwilling to move from Scotland nearer the club he manages and spending half time not there worries me!
