Kilworthfox Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Come and See Great film, most shocking you will ever see! Eerie weird, very scary even the way the actors look at each other! Russian view on the WW2 no holds barred eastern front ethnic clensing.
James18 Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Youve hit the nail on the head with that one buddy . . . . .
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Superb film. Good quality Aussie film.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Not seen this. Opinion? Based on a true story, and very good.
Alexikokopops Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Based on a true story, and very good. It's not based on a true story, it's based on "true events". It draws some bits and bobs from various backpacker abduction/murders that have happened in Australia (like Peter Falconio's murder) but isn't based on one specific incident
leicesterseddon Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 As others have said, Irreversible is quite shocking. Very well filmed though, and disorientating. Antichrist has some pretty nasty scenes in it. I even looked away during the 'scissors scene'...and I'm not afraid to admit it!
MC Prussian Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Un prophète/A Prophet can be shocking at times. And since Bisito Q/Visitor Q has already been mentioned, how about another Miike classic? I'd also throw a little bit of Battle Royale in there: The original Straw Dogs is also pretty shocking when you think of it - gutted to see there's going to be a remake coming out soon. Stephen King has also come up with many disturbing stories in the past, I find this Carpenter adaptation really gross (but also rather fascinating) in parts: And let's not forget Event Horizon, a perfect nightmare in Space:

Quality and underrated film. Though I wouldn't go to say shocking. I remember seeing Videodrome when I was quite young so I suppose it left a mark. I saw Poltergeist when I was 9 and and the sink scene certainly left me shocked, though it's not considered to be a shocking film. There's been plenty of films that left a bad taste in my mouth, but I'd say the The Hills have Eyes remake was definitely over the top and unneeded.

21st Century Fox Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 The French do uncomfortable/shocking so well.
MC Prussian Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 The French do uncomfortable/shocking so well. Actually, Haneke's Austrian (but often works with French actors). But I do love his output. So unconventional (but very formal), yet so fascinating, shocking and enthralling at the same time. Apart from this and Funny Games, try Caché. Or his best - Benny's Video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN8KsIUGhIo

Houdini Logic Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Eden Lake Never has a film left me feeling so strange - I couldn't watch TV or anything after, just had to go to bed
Amin Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 My friend told me about that film, sounds weird as ****.
MikeyT Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Following on from Human Centipede, put in your titles in here Here's one for starters... Well I watched it and now wish I could get that 90 minutes of my life back.
MikeyT Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Didn't sleep very well after watching this. Only rated a "15". Obviously not hardcore enough.
hairy Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Watched the new Conan and there was a shocking piece in it where having already cut off a chap's nose he stuck his finger in a nostril and had a wiggle about. Also where they poured molten metal on someone's head and it melted. But what is shocking? The concept of Hostel? The suspense of the first Saw? Are we talking gore on the concept? Some p0rn is very shocking.

m4DD0gg Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Didn't sleep very well after watching this. This film is totally horrible, the BBC screened it once and has no intention of doing so again. The fact it is set in the Uk adds such a level of realism. Completely bleak without any potential of any sort of positive outcome.
z-layrex Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Eden Lake Never has a film left me feeling so strange - I couldn't watch TV or anything after, just had to go to bed Did you know that this is a remake of a French film? The French make some brilliant thrillers. I forget it's name but I saw it on Film4 last year and it was very good. I just bought eden lake on bluray but not watched it yet. Check out Martyrs, another brilliant French gore-fest.
