That cup semi at Selhurst park was one of the best nights I've had supporting City. I think there was about 8000 thousand of us standing all game in the side stand singing our hearts out. You can hear us singing 'Wemberleee, Wemberleeee, we're the famous Leicester City and we're going to Wembley,' in the clip. I was bursting with pride, and hearing that again brought a lump to my throat.

The last ten minutes (including about 5 injury time) were probably one of the most fraught I've had as a supporter. It seemed that they were spent with us defending our six yard box as long ball after long ball rained down. I can remember Harford trying to punch the ball in the net, City fans trying to punch Vinnie Jones when trying retrieve the ball out of the crowd to launch another long throw in and i can remember the complete and utter joy I felt as the final whistle went.

The Cup final with middlesbrough was another great day though the match wasn't particularly good. Once in London and then around Wembley we drank with borough fans and I've never seen a team so confident of beating us, along with derby at in the play offs. They thought, and expected, that they were going to hammer us and that Juninho and Ravanelli were going to tear us to shreds, they didn't reckon upon Kaamark. However there was a nervousness amongst the City fans. Fast forward to the replay (Posted) and the mood was so different. There was a real confidence that this was going to be City's night, and sure enough amongst Ravanelli's tantrums and sulks Claridge pops up with the goal to seal it. Apart from a one on one save against Emerson from Keller stout defending from Walsh and Prior saw us comfortably to victory and wild celebrations.

Great nights that I hope to relive again now we have Top and Co. in charge.

Cracking memories. I enjoyed that, thanks.

Three points:

a) How good were we?!

b) Forgot how deadly Heskey was back in the day.

c) How many good players were in that 'Boro side? Emerson, Juninho, Ravanelli.

Great vids, cheers mate. Gradels free kick, and Howards header against Leeds at The KP are great recent memories, highlights of the League One Season.

But old is gold, truly amazing memories!!! :scarf:

Up to about 3:25 this features Jock Wallace at 'The Hill' but from 3:25 to the end it features City training at Belvoir Drive in early February 1971 prior to going on a seventeen game unbeaten run to take Division 2.
