????? Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Anyone know weather he is back, I seen hiM behind the dugoUt in LCFC tracksuit tonight
cc_star Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 He's injured, may be having treatment with us, but he's a Hull player till Jan - be surprised if he was there though He's due back in January, with Vassell out for the season I'd have thought he wouldn't be loaned out again
Jimmy Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 he's injured so is back for treatment, when he recovers he'll go back to Hull, assuming its before New Year
MPH Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 I think Pearson will be in the hunt for a new target man if he does get any other strikers... and as much as i rate Waggy i dont see a way past Nuge, Beckford and either Howard/ new target man. I think at his age he might just realise first team football is more important for him...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Think Waggy will flourish under Pearson again. And for me, he's gotta be above schlupp in the pecking order
Jaspa Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Think Waggy will flourish under Pearson again. And for me, he's gotta be above schlupp in the pecking order I'd say Jeff has more potential than Waggy personally. But, if he can get back to the standards he was showing during Nigel's last reign here, I would have him on the bench over Jeff. We would either have to loan Schlupp back out, to fit Waggy in. Or Give Jeff more of a chance & let Martyn fester. Hopefully it doesn't have to boil down to this, I believe both could do very well here.
Happy Fox Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 We need at least 5 strikers on the books Beckford, Nugent, Howard/new target man, Schlupp and Waghorn
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Not Waghorn - poor player As usual I read your posts with a sense of trepidation. And again I wasn't dissappointed... Waghorn will contribute to this squad this season in some productive way.. Of that I'm sure. He is not a bad player at all.. I hope he stays and Pearson gets the best out of him.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Personally I think Howard played crap last night didnt close anyone down. So I think waghorn would of been perfect last night as a sub hassling the defenders !!
Tielemans63 Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Obviously Nige like Waggy as he's signed him twice so I'd be very surprised if he went anywhere in Jan.
Guest parky0607 Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 I think Waghorn lost his way under Sven, and I personally would love to see him back here. Let's face it, his goal scoring ratio is still better than Beckfords (at Leicester).
Simo86 Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Personally I think Howard played crap last night didnt close anyone down. So I think waghorn would of been perfect last night as a sub hassling the defenders !! Howard wasn't put on the pitch to run around closing people down, that's why Nugent was still on the pitch. He was there to win flick ons and hold the ball up, which he did.
wellyfox Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Obviously Nige like Waggy as he's signed him twice so I'd be very surprised if he went anywhere in Jan. He signed him for us and we paid over the odds for him. And he took him on loan to a club with very little money(Because he knows him and his game) Now NP is back here we have a better squad and more to spend. IMO Waggy don't fit in. And on the target man front we need a target man for the future. Howard ain't that man. Also how long is his contract?
Bugg Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Waggy isn't good enough, I'd be happy to be proved wrong but at this moment in time we do not need him.
MPH Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Waggy isn't good enough, I'd be happy to be proved wrong but at this moment in time we do not need him. Personally i think Waggy IS good enough . But right now.... we have better players than we did ' back then'
Babylon Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 I'd written the lad off, but as we know Nige gets the best out of people so I am more than happy for him to come back into the fold. Heck, he's got better control than Beckford... and that's saying something
wellyfox Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Personally i think Waggy IS good enough . But right now.... we have better players than we did ' back then' So he ain't good enough now then for us. No one is saying he's shite and always has been. We are saying he ain't good enough now. Also if NP need's a striker I would hope he signs better than what we have now pushing waggy further down the list. L1 he done a good job Champs ok Prem if we go up he wont even be able to tread water.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Waghorn was alienated under Sven, just like Hobbs and Fryatt. He will be great again under NP.
Langston Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 He'll probably do a touch better under Pearson because he'll get games in the position he plays in.
Corky Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 I'd written the lad off, but as we know Nige gets the best out of people so I am more than happy for him to come back into the fold. Heck, he's got better control than Beckford... and that's saying something I think he'd offer similar or more than Howard. As much as Steve's been a good servant I reckon he won't last beyond the season. Waghorn has time on his side.
muzzy1981 Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Difficult to know what the future holds for Waggy. We certainly need players that have ability to step up to the premiership and to be fair to Sven most of his signings probably could, paid enough for them mind, not sure Waggy falls into that category, his touch really premiership.
