dannythefox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 I thought the ref did really well for them for the peno seen as he was nearly stood on the half way line!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 He was totally shit. Showed no interest in getting on top of their time wasting which started after about 5 minutes of the match (2 minutes added at half time was a joke) and despite no major **** ups he just seemed to make dozens of niggling errors throughout. Thought that drop ball thing was all a bit strange too.
gazfox9 Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Think all the people whining about Sonko not being sent of need to remember the ref would have been well within his rights to send off Konch in the 2nd minute. Having not done he was never gonna send Sonko off. We then went on to gain a fortunate penalty, Its all well and good coming on here ref bashing, and, fcuk me we've had some bad ones this season. But as a team, our performance was far worse than the refs today.

Captain... Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 He brought play back 3 times for free kicks to us when we were in good positions, he also should have stopped the timewasting tactics, he played into their hands by being a very niggly ref not letting the game flow. Also the wall was never 10 yards back for the free kick on the edge of the area. I have seen much worse refs and think he got the big decisions right, would need to see the penalty decisions again to be sure, but both looked like pens whilst neither being stonewall.
He's not bald Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Beckford's foul couldn't possibly result in a red card because as I understand the rule that's denying a "goal scoring opportunity" and it was Beckford???
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Beckford's foul couldn't possibly result in a red card because as I understand the rule that's denying a "goal scoring opportunity" and it was Beckford??? Hehe maybe THATS the reason!! lol
Leicester_Loyal Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 At the end of the day we were shocking. We can't blame referees every week.

So you would like a nice big wall 8 yards out from the goal? Yes it was a short 10 yards from the ball but it would take a player with skills like beckham, madonna and jesus all rolled in one!!

ajthefox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Theirs was a pen, I couldn't really see ours properly and the Beckford foul could've been a red but it was a pretty debatable call. He was soft as fook and gave loads of really shite fouls but he didn't really get anything massive wrong from my point of view.
acooling08 Posted 31 December 2011 Author Posted 31 December 2011 The ref was OK today. Then he goes and costs us 2 points by turning down a BLATANT penalty on Beckford towards the end.
leicesterisme Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 The ref was OK today. Then he goes and costs us 2 points by turning down a BLATANT penalty on Beckford towards the end. Yes it was a penalty. But Jesus christ, the only people that have prevented us from winning today was our 11 players not the referee.
somebum Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Oh come on, we sound like the Pakistani's, thinking there is a big conspiracy against us all the while. Truth is, we are not good enough yet, and it will take Pearson a while to sort that shite Sven left behind.
Haydos Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Haha, I'd love you try to make that call live. Deary me.
Finnegan Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Beckford should have shot or passed it. He took a dive. No pen.
acooling08 Posted 31 December 2011 Author Posted 31 December 2011 Yes we weren't good enough, BUT you can't deny that today another 2 points were lost as a direct result from the officials.
foxfanazer Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Beckford should have shot or passed it. He took a dive. No pen. Please tell me ur joking!
The Doctor Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 The ref was OK today. Then he goes and costs us 2 points by turning down a BLATANT penalty on Beckford towards the end. :xmasblink: - Several terrible challenges from behind going unpunished, Mattock allowed to get away with GBH on Schlupp but getting a free-kick off Schlupp for tripping over his own laces. He was beyond rubbish.
Salieri Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Doesn't matter now but definitely should have been a penalty.
breadandcheese Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Beckford should have shot or passed it. He took a dive. No pen. I can only assume you haven't seen any replays yet on the TV. It was stonewall. Mattock was clumsy and took Beckford's legs when he turned on the ball. I can understand how the referee might have an excuse from his angle, but the linesman had a clear line of sight and had no excuse not to flag.
Webbo Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Looked a penalty on the replay, didn't think so when it was live. Beckford did go down easily. No complaints.
seenitall Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Was a penalty but diffcult for the official to see - ref wasn't sure and linesman's view was obscured so bad luck
breadandcheese Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Looked a penalty on the replay, didn't think so when it was live. Beckford did go down easily. No complaints. You must have a complaint against the linesman. From his angle, he has a clear line of sight.
