Mills on loan to leeds / whu or who?

I've already gathered that. It doesn't answer my question.

Ok...

Because maybe no team out there is stupid enough to pay what we are.

Because Pearson thinks it might do Leeds more harm than good.

Because maybe no other team wanted him and it was seen the better of two evils sending him there than having him about potentially poisoning others.

Because maybe the money they are paying means we can get a loan signing in that will do more than sit at home.

You are usually Mr positive. If this was any other manager but Pearson i feel you'd be sat there praising him for having more faith in those left behind or for focusing more on our results than those of others.

NP takes no prisoners and you don't mess with NP.

It doesn't matter who you are.

NP is just rectifying Sven's mistakes and this latest episode is just another example of that.

Funnily enough a lot of people were claiming the same 'victory' when SSL argued he should be in front of Mills only just a short time ago.

How things change......or simply remain the same.

Mills is not half as bad as some on here say but , I'll admit, he has slipped down the pecking order and if he has rowed with Pearson then it's right that he goes. I'd prefer it if it wasn't to a playoff rival but our chances of making the playoffs are pretty slim anyway. In Nige we trust.

this is a tricky one because if what the papers are saying is true that he wasnt happy with being dropped for the norwich game and questioned nigel then what can he expect? SSL had the same problem only he got lucky you cant question the managers decsision and definately not nigels i remember wasnt beckford dropped for a few games did he moan ? no and now he playing well and starting its poor behaviour from whats suppose to be our club captain i do however hope he does stay i was a big fan of his when he joined and still think hes a top defender but at the moment why would you drop SSL and big wes and to be honest i dont think mills would do a better job then big wes is doing at the moment. intresting

I'd pick Mills over Bamba as a defender any day. He sounds like he wants to play for the club, and sending him on loan to someone above us is strange. Hopefully its just another kneejerk reaction from NP like with SSL. That didnt turn out too bad in the end?

Bamba is better than Mills, uses the ball much better and while he likes to hold on to it in silly positions sometimes, he still makes far less errors than Mills.

Can't really hold judgement until we really know what's happened in this bust up is a shame I know Mills is not perfect but I still rate him above SSL personally, still Pearson is not only a good manager but Centre Back is where he really knows his stuff better than any of us so lets hope it is for the best.

This is ridiculas. He wants to play for us, he's got potential and is a good defender. When we get a run going he will grow in confidence and perform better. Loaning him out to a team above us who could well beat us to the playoffs is a crazy decision!

When people talk of ego's at the club, it seems Nigel Pearson has the biggest of them all. Now I don't know whats happened, but loaning your captain to your promotion rivals AND paying most of his wages is just crazy.

The thing is Mills is a good centre back. Pearson knows he is a good centre back. Pearson does rate Mills. How do I know this? Well Mills is a better version of Hobbs. The problem is that he doesn't fit in the squad, can be inconsistant, and now is bitching about not getting in the squad.

We've all tried our hardest to determine where the weak link has been in the CB partnership given the number of changes of the two CBs. Much blame has been placed on Bamba, and to an extent I think this can be true, but Mills needs to reflect over his own performances and decision making.

He has had some excellent games, some brilliant goal scoring passing, and some decisive blocking, but the problem at the end of the day is not whether Pearson rates Mills, as I think he does, but whether Mills rates himself better than he actually is.

Cohesion is important to this end of the season whether we make the playoffs or not. Taking the form, motivation, and cup run across the off-season and building on that. If Pearson wants to take disruption to this process out of the equation regardless of cost, then so be it.

How long do you give him in the team before you realise he's one of the reasons there hasn't been a good run by us. He's fourth choice, I don't care if he's captain (means nothing) or that he's suddenly become Leicesters biggest fan.

Something hasn't been right at the back this year, it's been difficult to put your finger on and everyone has been blamed at one point or another. Maybe Pearson has decided the problem was Mills.

He was a good CB himself and has proved himself several times over that he has an eye for a CB.

I did wonder about your second point - that Pearson might think it would do Leeds more harm than good but with Mills being given something to prove it's a risky strategy.

And what's this about "Any other manager but Pearson?"

I'm not anti-Pearson. No, he's not the guy I'd have chosen - it is well known I wanted OGS. But after MON he was about the next best and certainly, as it turned out, the best or close to the best available.

I've a lot of time for the bloke in most ways, my only persistent gripe being his cautiousness and reluctance to press home our advantage when we get in front.

I think it perhaps bothers him as well judging by his comments about wanting to play more expansive football but I just wonder if his natural instincts simply get the better of him and, being the model professional that he is, he naturally tries to hold what he has.

Pearson is perhaps the only manager at Leicester these last 10 years that I've had any real or lasting respect for. I just think we differ in philosophy and that his natural caution could cost him and us in time. But if I'm wrong I'll be delighted.

So far I think he's made steady progress. We're a better balanced team than when Sven left, have a few more options tactically, have fewer obvious weaknesses and are starting to look like a team. But for all that our caution remains and I wonder whether Pearson will ever learn to attack wholeheartedly.

Doubtless we'll see what happens in the end but to suggest I'm sitting here rooting for him to fail is utter nonsense. What I'd like is for him to improve as a manager because, then, he might just surpass even MON's achievements and become as good a manager as we've had in our history.

Not that it will stop me criticising him if I see fit. I'm like that - with him, with the players, with myself. There is always room for improvement.

This is great, Pearsons dismantling the squad whilst sticking to his shower of shite from before.

Bring back kermorgant!!!!

Dismantling the squad that got us to the bottom half of the table and sticking with his shower of shite (Wellens and Dyer being the only two of late) that actually acheived anything with us. I mean, they have both been terrible recently as well... oooops, maybe not.

I've had enough. Loaning our captain to our rivals. Does that ****ing clown Pearson ever learn when he loaned out Campbell to Blackpool!

Not going to go to any away games now this season unless that twat leaves.

You could also quote Gradel to Leeds, it is obviously his style of management and won't suffer disruptive sulking players. He's the boss he's accountable end of.

The shower of shit that won us league 1 and got us into the playoffs

if you look at it reading where in play-off semis last year and they are up there now if he was that good they would want him to stay but they sold him and they are still in the play-offs what dose this say.

Now hes gone out on loan lets see if we pick up or if we stay as we are look when dennis wise came good player but didnot cut it plus the lad from arsnal he was the same you need players to get on if they dont you stand no chance i now that and i have seen that in junior football 1 bad egg and you can piss in the wind so lets see what happons

:scarf: come on leicester :scarf:

On that basis, Shane Long was shite too then.......

Very inconsistent player and his passing choices are often poor.

With him going to Leeds he can either come back a better player or be sold on if he does not improve

I disagree, he has brought in Marshall, Drinkwater, Morgan players who want to perform and play for the club and has shown he is willing to get rid of those who are a distraction to the rest of the squad.

I would say our last couple of games without Mills we have looked more assured at the back than what we have done all season, I wanted mills to succeed I thought he would be a fantastic signing but basic errors and his ego just haven't helped him or the team.

Mills hasn't performed this season, and if his ego was the size of a pea he wouldn't be in this situation, clearly he thinks he is better than he is, and when Sven purred his ego by making him captain on the basis of absolutely nothing, he didn't earn it clearly their is going to be members in the squad questioning the decisions. If he has had a bust up and questioning NP's decision for dropping him he has no right to do that. So face it NP is right in this instance.

Shower of shite from before?

Morgan and SSL were here two years ago then?
