Guest nathan. Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Mills hasn't performed this season, and if his ego was the size of a pea he wouldn't be in this situation, clearly he thinks he is better than he is, and when Sven purred his ego by making him captain on the basis of absolutely nothing, he didn't earn it clearly their is going to be members in the squad questioning the decisions. If he has had a bust up and questioning NP's decision for dropping him he has no right to do that. So face it NP is right in this instance. Spot on mate
Aylestone Fox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 This could just be a clash of personalities, and Pearson will win he's the gaffer. Loaning Mills out to Leeds will hopefully just give him the kick up the arse he needs to sort his game and attitude out. If he really does want to stay and play for Leicester now's the time to prove it, go to Leeds play well and then come back in the right frame of mind. He still has a part to play I believe, Morgan has done well in his two games and SSL had a spat which has now proved positive for the club. I dont want to see Mills leave but Pearson will do whats right and best for the team.
Thracian Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I disagree, he has brought in Marshall, Drinkwater, Morgan players who want to perform and play for the club and has shown he is willing to get rid of those who are a distraction to the rest of the squad. I would say our last couple of games without Mills we have looked more assured at the back than what we have done all season, I wanted mills to succeed I thought he would be a fantastic signing but basic errors and his ego just haven't helped him or the team. Couldn't agree more - how anyone could accuse Pearson of "dismantling" the squad and sticking with his old favourites is ridiculous. Dyer's come back because he's the best left-winger available and he's grasped his chance with both hands enjoying what is probably his most consistent and effective spell at the club. Oh yes, and Wellens has kept his place too. And why not? He's not my favourite player but has played a lot better lately than was previously the case...and at a time when people have been injured. But on top of that Pearson's revived the career of both Danns and St Leger who'd become forgotten men under Sven and brought in Danny Drinkwater who seems to be an excellent signing. With Marshall and Morgan too, plus the occasional inclusion of Tom Kennedy, I'd say Pearson has done nothing but steadily improve the collective strength of our team, both in terms of established players and newcomers. And six wins out of nine is reasonable springboard for any manager and for a returning sense of optimism for the future..
bluesbrothers Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I find it hilarious that people are so up in arms about this, yet we conceded 3 against Watford due to poor defensive co-ordination with Mills in the squad, yet in the past 2 games we have been immense at the back. The only goal conceded has come from a penalty conceded by our goalkeeper. For one or two good performances, Mills has been average at best, and cost us games at worst with his lack of leadership and poor distribution. Southampton was a one-off.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Dismantling the squad that got us to the bottom half of the table and sticking with his shower of shite (Wellens and Dyer being the only two of late) that actually acheived anything with us. I mean, they have both been terrible recently as well... oooops, maybe not. Wrong again what a shock. Pearson and his regulars took us to the bottom half of the table. If people think dyer, gallagher, Wellens & howard are good enough to get us promoted then your in for a massive disappointment.
norwegianfox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 No player is bigger than our club. However, being one of the few on here that rate Mills I think it is strange to ship him out to a club who are also fighting for the play-off spots. He will improve their defence and that is not a good thing for us is it? I really cannot see Mills coming back to us at the end of the season now. The "bridges are burnt" unless he and NFP can find the time to sit down and talk. If he has mouthed off towards NFP, clearly that is not acceptable. But, why can't the manager and player work out their problems internally? These things can only harm the general view of our club. I for one am sad to see him go, but as long as it turn out to be a good thing for the club thats the only important thing.
J.Lisemore Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 He'll do alright for Leeds, because were still paying him. He's not s*it but he's not even half the player he was at Reading.
Babylon Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Wrong again what a shock. Pearson and his regulars took us to the bottom half of the table. Did they really... you missed the part where Sven got sacked for having us in 14th Place then. If people think dyer, gallagher, Wellens & howard are good enough to get us promoted then your in for a massive disappointment. And yet they got a damn site closer than anyone else who has arrived since.

We would pay his wages if he was with us and probably see his value drop. He needs to improve to get into the Leeds team. So for the sake of three months wages and the need to maintain the market value of an over-priced centre-back we're prepared to help finance Leeds' promotion push? Couldn't you just see Leeds finishing sixth, City seventh, Mills shoring up Leeds defence and Bates' boys winning the play-offs...all cos we wanted to save the price of one player. Didn't see what you editted out and I can see this may happen but Leicester have to concentrate on winning every match until the end of the season - simple as that. I know a lot about Leeds and to be honest they are poor as have we been.
jamesmilner Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 oops a daisy , i think i got that one right AGAIN !

Some of the same defensive co-ordination that had previously kept clean sheets, one bad game is what alot of people were looking for to jump on his back, we seem to just love to hate our players when they had a poor game... Southampton wasnt a one off the guy has ability, bad attitude perhaps but ability all the same. We need to look at the bigger picture sometimes..
scinnell Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Knew this yesterday, want to say on here, but knew some moaners would go, 'where's your source?!
Saxondale Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 It's very difficult to work out the whole Mills situation. My best take on it is this: * He is obviously not a bad player * He is obviously the sort of player who is affected a lot by confidence and morale * The big price tag, coupled with being immediately made captain put a lot of pressure on from the off * His first home game against his former club was a shocker and immediately shot his confidence * Him then being dropped highlighted his vulnerability and put him on the psychological back foot * Some poor team performances and bad overall defending put the spotlight on the CBs * Fans have been getting on his back (unsurprisingly) I don't think he's ever reached a position where he's felt on top of his game and has felt the pressure from the fans. The whole situation is slightly regrettable for all parties.
Stevie Synex Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I've had enough. Loaning our captain to our rivals. Does that ****ing clown Pearson ever learn when he loaned out Campbell to Blackpool! Not going to go to any away games now this season unless that twat leaves. Seems you are displaying a similar attitude to that of the player - decision not to your liking = toys out of the pram. Gutted you are not coming to anymore away games as the support shown in the last couple of games has been inspiring in my opinion - if you were at the Watford game you might have drawn the same conclusion as me that the first half was dominated by Watfords centre forward Iwelumo with Mills struggling to keep with him or win any ball in the air, second half was transformed with Morgan replacing Mills and completely removing the threat of Iwelumo from the game. For me this made my mind up about Mills, forget the sending off's and conceded penalties his distribution generally is poor and if he is now providing a disruptive influence in training/dressing room then Pearson has to make a decision and for me shipping him out to another club, although I accept Leeds is not ideal, is probably in everyone's best interest. Leeds will certainly be contributing to his wages and if he is going in the summer then it's best he is in the shop window now for others to consider their bids. Our challenge for promotion is still in our hands, with our form this season it is highly inprobable that we can put the sort of run together that we need to put a serious challenge together but lets see what happens, if the last couple of performances are indicative of our end of season run then who knows - anything is possible. As for Mills wanting to play for the club and being a big Leicester fan, well you could say the same about Roy Cropper but you wouldn't want him in your first team would you?
jamesmilner Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I'd pick Mills over Bamba as a defender any day. He sounds like he wants to play for the club, and sending him on loan to someone above us is strange. Hopefully its just another kneejerk reaction from NP like with SSL. That didnt turn out too bad in the end? WHAT GAMES YOU BEEN WATCHING ? and what kind of football do you like to watch ? millsy knocking 50yd no hope balls ? shh you stick to the tigers egg shaped mate ,that gets kicked like that !!
Stevie Synex Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Some of the same defensive co-ordination that had previously kept clean sheets, one bad game is what alot of people were looking for to jump on his back, we seem to just love to hate our players when they had a poor game... Southampton wasnt a one off the guy has ability, bad attitude perhaps but ability all the same. We need to look at the bigger picture sometimes.. I can sort of agree with this but as fans we are only ever drip fed information from the club or given speculation from outside sources and therefore understanding the bigger picture is often difficult if not impossible.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Hopefully the pay most of his wages, least he wont be at the club to be a bad influence.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Wished we sent him to a different club which isn't in this league if i'm honest Good. He's probely one of the worst passers of the ball I have ever seen. Yes he does make some bad passes but guessing you didn't see the 70 yard pass he did for Lloyd Dyer against Barnsley? I've had enough. Loaning our captain to our rivals. Does that ****ing clown Pearson ever learn when he loaned out Campbell to Blackpool! Not going to go to any away games now this season unless that twat leaves. Since when was Campbell our captain? Campbell was another big ego, thought he was bigger than the club, just like Gradel and Mills. Don't go any away games then, don't need fans like you at the games!
easilee Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Mills is a hoofer. It's all he does. One of 'em is bound to hit it's target sooner or later.

I've gone to 13 away games this season. I might have overexaggerated but just still annoyed with the situation as he still has much more to give. This hasn't helped though... -Giving him the captaincy for **** all. -His attitudes stinks apparently. He needs to buckle up and give 100% -Get behind the team. I know we have in the last few games but all the booing at the start of the season didn't really help. -All these people who say 'Mills is shit' are idiots. He isn't shit, he wants to be here but obviously Nigel wants him out. Hopefully it turns out like the St Ledger situation, but in my opinion I think its a bit more severe than that.
foxoffderby Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I'm with Pearson on this one. Mills has been weak all season. He dives in to many challenges when he should be jockying the forward. He seems to think hes Ronald Koeman playing 50 yard balls over the top which rarely work. His leadership skills have been piss poor and seems to think hes better than what he is. It seems to me Mills can't take criticism and looks like hes been bigged up all his life and now things arent going for him he can't take it. Remember how he reacted when Sven dropped him after the first home match For me Wes Morgan has been better in the few games hes played than Mills all season. Morgan is proper no nonsense defender and what a centre back should be. Im a fan already. Big up Wes bye bye Mills.

And I've gone to 13 away this season and I'll be going to many more. Just very frustrated about this whole situation.
Foxy Bingo Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Is there anyone NP hasn't had a fall out with yet? Really is a waste to let him go but I'm not complaining. We have 3 Cb's who are twice as good as him and he wasn't a good captain. When he learns how to pass he could be half decent.
Happy Fox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I would imagine we would get a replacement on loan? as having 3 CBs isn't enough surely?
Libertine Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I would imagine we would get a replacement on loan? as having 3 CBs isn't enough surely? Tunchev and Peltier as well.
