davieG Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Muzzy. Exactly to expectations, O’Neill brought his team of thugs to St James’ Park and they set out to do what the Irishman’s teams do – foul and spoil. Every player behind the ball! For Sunderland 2012 read Leicester 1996. For Muzzy Izzett read Lee Cattermole. That is where Ellis Short’s tens of millions of pounds of investment has brought them. A team of artless cloggers! Should we be surprised? Not really, this is the club whose followers idolise Kevin Ball. We are the supporters who idolise Peter Beardsley. No more need be said. Dan Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Personally prefer Newcastle of the two but MON obviously makes Sunderland a bit more likeable, from our point of view.
easilee Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Bitter and clueless. I seem to remember NUFC as a right bunch of fouling b'stards when O'Neill was in charge of us. And we played some cracking football at times.
The Doctor Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Hold on - since when was Muzzy the bruising ballwinner like Cattermole?
wellyfox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Did'nt Newcastle want MON from us. I think MON's motto is do what you have too and they did yesterday loved what I saw on MOTD. Be nice to see games like it every week. Whingeing geordies would they moan if he was there manager. utter bollox
accessory Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Bitter and clueless. I seem to remember NUFC as a right bunch of fowling b'stards when O'Neill was in charge of us. And we played some cracking football at times. Too right. Remember this?
wellyfox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Bitter and clueless. I seem to remember NUFC as a right bunch of fowling b'stards when O'Neill was in charge of us. And we played some cracking football at times. Hmmmmmmm that fvcking tart shearer. One of the most disgracefull moments in football I have seen kicking Lennon in the head. Then the puff cries to the FA you ban me and I'll stop playing n take my ball home. They should have replied good fvck off.
Daggers Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 I seem to remember NUFC as a right bunch of fowling b'stards when O'Neill was in charge of us. Did the team have to duck?
BlueBlue Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Surely Robbie Savage, the nations pin up was the Headless Chicken/Mindless Thug.
cc_star Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 MoN is doing what he can with someone else's players Sunderland have been a big spender over the past 2 years, I'm sure he'll change tact a bit once he's got his own people in With regard to LCFC of the mid-nineties we played some awesome football too, we mixed it up both with quick balls forward and some amazing one touch passing counters
Bayfox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Muzzy and Lee Cattermole, there's a comparison I never thought I'd read, cattermole is just a bit of a thug granted, but Muzzy never put himself about to that extent, think the Newcastle fans may want to watch a collection of the goals muzzy scored, not sure cattermole has that ability at all. PS do we need to remind them of Alan Shearer!!
Callabinho Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Muzzy - Cattermole? don't make me laugh Muzzy was sheer class, Mr. Ferguson once said he was the most underrated player in the premier league.
NeilyBoy Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 I don't know how the author even managed to finish that article and keep himself breathing at the same time.
Saxondale Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 So basically the Geordies are jealous that the Mackems are playing some winning football. There's a surprise. BOO HOO!
Darkon84 Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Did the team have to duck? Dont worry, at least I got what you were doing there
Captain... Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 I would have thought Lennon was more of the Cattermole figure, obviously much better, but he was the one who would put the tough tackle in, Robbie would run around and Muzzy, well Muzzy was just class. A really sad and bitter article from the Geordies, Newcastle hardly covered themselves in glory in that match from what I saw on MOTD2, Tiote is just as bad as Cattermole.
Master Fox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Cattermole is not even is the same league as Muzzy. Idiots. Muzzy
leicesterisme Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Tiote was a disgrace yesterday, he should be banned aswell as Sessengon for that sending off. Such a stupid comparison between Cattermole and Muzzy as well.
Narborough_fox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Muzzy Izzet compared to Lee Cattermole really makes me sad, Cattermole is a tosser. Muzzy is the complete opposite, I would of got Lennon and Cattermole but Muzzy makes no sense.
Bugg Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 So basically the Geordies are jealous that the Mackems are playing some winning football. There's a surprise. BOO HOO! Err. Newcastle are higher than Sunderland in the table and are also playing some wonderful football (and winning). Explain how they would be jealous?
accessory Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Because Sunderland are moving in an upward direction (compared with when MON took over) and still have a chance of silverware this season. Plus MON has won a shedload of honours as player and manager, while Pardew has won nothing more than a Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
burni Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Because Sunderland are moving in an upward direction (compared with when MON took over) and still have a chance of silverware this season. Plus MON has won a shedload of honours as player and manager, while Pardew has won nothing more than a Johnstone's Paint Trophy. But jealousy would suggest Newcastle would rather be in sunderlands position which I highly doubt with where they are in the table. Its probably just the fact the gap between the two clubs is closing, MON you trouble maker!
