Stevosevic Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Wouldn't mind seeing his record this calendar year? Anyone know it?
Guest ttfn Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Wouldn't mind seeing his record this calendar year? Anyone know it? Think it's 9 goals in 16 games. 4 in 12 in the league.
tylesta Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 he did score 2 tonight but I still feel his ego shines through too much. Fine example of this is when he went off celebrating like hed scored a glorious goal for our first, instead of firstly thanking nuge. Second example was when he went for the overhead kick instead of letting dyer take the easy tap in. Im not 'finding something to moan about'. I am happy with our performance tonight, but Id like to see him drop the ego in order to improve his game celebrate??? why not, everyone celerbrates im sure he would of thanked nugent if he squared it but it looked like nuge was going for goal, and what jermaine did was followed it up which most strikers would do. on the thanking thing alot of quality passes played to jb today in which he applauded, the ego he ran straight up to js to acknoledge his goal

Master Fox Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 I was about to slag him off on here before he scored. Still not convinced. He sometimes reminds me of MDV.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 In 15 minutes he showed more quality and sensible decision making on the ball than Beckford has throughout his entire time here. Yes, glad Beckford got two goals, but it's one game. His doubters are not proved wrong, he's not suddenly justified everything about his move here. Show me it consistently, week in, week out and I might change my tune.
Ashley Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Ok. Let the fickle fans start the Beckford loving. lol at Master Fox I normally respect your views on here normally a good poster but reminds you of MDV? .
RyanB89 Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Wouldn't mind seeing his record this calendar year? Anyone know it? Think it's 9 goals in 16 games. 4 in 12 in the league. 12 goals in 34 games in all competitions and 7 goals in 30 in the league. Although thats according to wikipedia.

I can't quite put my finger on it. I think becuase he missed some easy chances and lost the ball a few times due to bad control. He'll prove me wrong on Sunday
davelcfc100 Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 I just can't figure out how the only bets I've won this season have been on beckford, tenner on a hatrick against forest and a fiver on a brace tonight, **** it I'm having £20 on a hatrick at the weekend

Kitchandro Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 TBF, when he's having a bad game (like almost every game for us last year) he's as bad as Mark De Vries. When he's good though it's a different story. Fair play to him tonight, and apart from the odd game he's been much better this year. He just needs to score mor frequently, away from home as well.
davelcfc100 Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Do it !! Done it, well nearly- had a tenner on beckford brace 33/1 with skybet
paddy Agyemang Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Beckford will now play outstanding at Chelsea on Saturday WATCH
steveherbe Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Wouldn't mind seeing his record this calendar year? Anyone know it? Since Forest 4-0, I think he's scored 9 in 13 games. Thats not bad is it? His second tonight was the first time he reminded me of that other Beckford that used to play for Leeds.Give him the service, he will score. Thought Schluppy took his goal well, bags of pace and a calm finish - Lloyd, take note. 6 points off the play-offs - dare we dream?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Beckford will now play outstanding at Chelsea on Saturday WATCH Then poor against Blackpool and instantly becoming shit
Leicester Lass Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Beckford will now play outstanding at Chelsea on Saturday WATCH You'll get good odds on that. We're playing Sunday!
Daggers Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 at all these posts This, on toast, with a bottle of Chablis and some pate & truffle

No, you just want him to fail.Admit it.Only a couple have been consistent this season, but hey the Beckfords to blame bandwagon is in town.Jesus he got 2 goals tonight, but no you started with schlupp arse licking.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 No, you just want him to fail.Admit it.Only a couple have been consistent this season, but hey the Beckfords to blame bandwagon is in town.Jesus he got 2 goals tonight, but no you started with schlupp arse licking. Of course I don't want him to fail, never would want an LCFC player to fail. But I want him to do more and shall not be changing my views on him after a handful of good appearances. I didn't want Beckford to fail when I travelled all the way to Reading on Saturday to see him not give a jot for 45 minutes. I didn't want him to fail when he got the hump at West Ham after doing nowt, only to give us the stare. I didn't want him to fail when I went to Brighton to see his stupid decision-making see us a man down and lose in the final minute. I've not wanted him to fail the countless times at the KP when he's looked either distinctly uninterested or distinctly lacking in a touch, any vision, any quality, any saving graces. The point is, Beckford's done a lot of harm to how he might be perceived by large sections of the LCFC support. He's only just starting to look like being worthy of a place in our team, and it's going to take more than a couple of games in isolation for me to be heaping credit upon him. We've seen it before and all know that in one, two or three games time he could be back to his usual self. As for Schlupp 'arse-licking', yes I'm perfectly willing to give Schlupp more praise than Beckford. I can't remember a time in his career so far where he's failed through a lack of effort and tonight he showed the quality he's got. In his all round play as well. My main motive, and my main message, is this: the adulation for Beckford is all a little premature.
Haydos Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Oh look, nobody's telling us what a bad player they think he is. I suppose they'll just wait until next time he doesn't score twice.
