broughtonblue Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Being resuscitated on pitch now in game versus spurs, suspected heart attack
Fox92 Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Just seen this in sky sports. Sounds horrible. Hope he's ok.
HEGGSY Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 He just collapsed ESPN said he's not breathing and the defibrillator didn't work.
Guesty Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Like I said in the fa cup thread, one of the saddest things I've ever seen on a football pitch. The player's and crowd's faces said it all. Hope hes ok, but it didn't look good. Match abandoned
leicsmac Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 That's horrific. I'm reminded of Mark Vivian-Foe...something similar happened to him. Really really hope this doesn't turn out the same and Muamba is OK.
Matt Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 ESPN reported he is still being worked on in the ambulance, not good. Hope he pull through.
whoareyaaa Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Only 23 aswell terrible hopefully they can bring him round.
HEGGSY Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Antonio Puerta springs to mind as well as Vivian-Foe.
Guest shearfox Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Right decision to abandon the match so hope all is well, complete shock such a young player with his whole life ahead of him.
Dylan Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Really hope he pulls through... thought it was just an injury at first, never thought it would be this serious.... My excitement for tomorrow has reduced significantly.
leicsmac Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 And Hinckley's Matt Gadsby too. Seems cardiomyopathy is prevalent amongst young footballers...maybe the added strain of a particular kind of exercise on the heart? Hoping - really really hoping he makes it through.
NeilyBoy Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 The crowd were magnificent throughout. The occasional chanting of his name was beautiful.
HEGGSY Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Really hope he pulls through... thought it was just an injury at first, never thought it would be this serious.... My excitement for tomorrow has reduced significantly. Agreed.
stevelcfc Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Reminds me of Clive Clarke, thoughts and prayers with him.
HEGGSY Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Reminds me of Clive Clarke, thoughts and prayers with him. Lets hope he's as lucky as Clarke was, if it means giving up your career, then so be it.
21st Century Fox Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 6.44pm The ESPN reporter in the tunnel says that Bolton are preparing a statement to confirm that Muamba is on his way to hospital. There is no further information, and we still don't know whether attempts to resusciate Muamba have been successful. It's hard to articulate just how shocked everybody looks, from the referee to the players to the ESPN team.
MikeyT Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 The crowd were magnificent throughout. The occasional chanting of his name was beautiful. Absolutely. Shows we as football fans no matter what club you support, can all pull together in bad times.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Hi foxes fans watching the shocking news on Espn about Fabrice, just a thought but would love to hear his name sang round the ground tomoz to show our respect to Fabrice himself and his family! Thanks
Tom17LCFC Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Shocking, put a dampener on tonight and tomorrow. Really hope he pulls through.
Simmsy Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Thoughts are with his friends and family. Hope beyond hope that it is not as serious as first expected and he makes a full recovery. Doesn't sound very good but hopefully he pulls through. No-one deserves something like that to happen to them, I'm glad I wasn't watching the match as I imagine it was extremely distressing.
