SemperEadem Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I was there, he did it. Flicked the Vs, then walked a bit, turned round and did the w*nker sign. At one guy or the crowd?
Leicester Lass Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 At one guy or the crowd? Only he knows that. I couldn't see who or what had antagonised him, but that reaction is still unacceptable.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 And what did the "one fan" do to Konch in order for him to respond like that? Always 2 sides to every story! What do our individual players do (apart from have an off-day) to be continually verbally abused by some people and given all kinds of offensive gestures? Always 2 sides to every story!
JonnyBoy Posted 14 April 2012 Author Posted 14 April 2012 the w#nker sign? unbelievable.... Hope for his sake he comes on the radio and clears it up
Matt Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Some of our players need teaching a lesson in professionalism.
Leicfox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Some of our players need teaching a lesson in professionalism. Agreed. I bet most of them will be out on the piss tonight too. Either in London or back in Leicester.
blueharmie Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Give a bit , take abit. Cant doubt konchs attitude. Been a piss poor season. Not all his fault.
leicesterseddon Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Only he knows that. I couldn't see who or what had antagonised him, but that reaction is still unacceptable. Exactly. I mean, if a player gives the v's to the crowd, how is there any real way of knowing whether it was addressed to everyone, a small group or indeed just one person? And even if he comes out and claims that the gesture was only addressed to one person, how can he prove that? Pretty stupid thing to have done if true.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Imagine someone came to your work place and abused you, what would you do ? Abusing your own players is stupid, yes fans pay to watch, but if you aren't happy with the service, you don't go again. Simpletons ! I would file a complaint to my boss...But seriously some of our fans are morons anyway (get them at every club) and I'm sure whoever it was aimed at deserved it. Out of all the players this season he's probably one of a few who has showed commitment, passion and always interacted in a positive way towards the fans.
dave the caveman Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 how and when have they shown a lack of respect? (other than mills) Other than Mills and Konchesky there was Pearson saying we have delusions of grandeur. That's three attacks in one season. A complete and utter disgrace.
purpleronnie Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 who cares? Are people so offended by this...ooooh 2 fingers....that's rude....I'm scared...wheres my mummy.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Exactly. I mean, if a player gives the v's to the crowd, how is there any real way of knowing whether it was addressed to everyone, a small group or indeed just one person? And even if he comes out and claims that the gesture was only addressed to one person, how can he prove that? Pretty stupid thing to have done if true. As a player for a losing team, frustration is running high, and some twat is mouthing off at you, as stupid as it is, it just happens in the heat of the moment.
PAULCFC Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Other than Mills and Konchesky there was Pearson saying we have delusions of grandeur. That's three attacks in one season. A complete and utter disgrace. Pearson was right about you!
marko Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Other than Mills and Konchesky there was Pearson saying we have delusions of grandeur. That's three attacks in one season. A complete and utter disgrace. Firstly, Pearson was talking about the players. Secondly, he was correct.
Haydos Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 So it's perfectly fine for anyone to give him a load of shit but as soon as he tells a couple of fans to fvck off he should be sacked? Brilliant. Support your players you clowns, he's been one of the better ones this year.
dave the caveman Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Pearson was right about you! Why? Because I don't like our players making vile gestures towards a group of their own paying fans which includes young children to whom they are supposed to be an example?
Corky Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Why? Because I don't like our players making vile gestures towards a group of their own paying fans which includes young children to whom they are supposed to be an example? Have you heard some of the stuff our fans come out with?
dave the caveman Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Have you heard some of the stuff our fans come out with? Using that as an excuse is like a firefighter refusing to put out a fire because it is hot.
PAULCFC Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Why? Because I don't like our players making vile gestures towards a group of their own paying fans which includes young children to whom they are supposed to be an example? were you their today?
dave the caveman Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 were you their today? No i wasn't, my views are based on multiple eye witness reports. If it turns out to have been wrong then I'll stand corrected.
Corky Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Using that as an excuse is like a firefighter refusing to put out a fire because it is hot. So they should just take the abuse they get then?
RowlattsFox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Football fans are funny, they can do whatever they like towards players but cry when they get something back. Unprofessional from konchesky but doesn't bother me in the slightest. We moan when players don't clap the fans after a defeat but when a player does he gets abused. Still shouldn't have done it though and I am sure he regrets it.
breadandcheese Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 No player should rise to the bait of any fan, no matter how backward, stupid, thick or annoying (and we all know we have our fair share of them) they are. I've no doubt whoever wound Konchesky up was an utter moron, but Konchesky has to rise above it.
