Konchesky sticking the v's up to the fans?

Do you, when sitting with your boy, criticise the fans who gesture and call people every name under the sun?

No, but then I don't expect the boy to look towards fellow fans as role models in the same way as he does the players.

This is not a complicated issue. Players shouldn't be doing this kind of thing.

Why dont you tell your son that footballers aren't role models ? Then no one gets upset, if you want a role model get down to the local church... And what part of the ground do you sit in that two seats cost £80???

The gesture in itself isn't offensive imo however it was the meaning behind it, you don't do that to fans who pay they're money to come and watch while earning in a year what you probably get in two weeks. To be fair the fan shouldn't have done that as I believe that you should support and yes konchesky had a bad game but he was the first one over to the fans. But it doesn't excuse the gestures and it wasn't just one he continously repeated multiple guestures for a good 30 seconds which is just not one, he has a lot of making up to do in my eyes

If the fans booed him as he came over how do you expect him to react.

Keep on clapping throw his shirt into the crowd, if that was me I would be disgusted just like Konch. Some of our fans are massive idiots, only because we lost and basically our season is now over and they get peed off, and take it out on one of our best players this season, is beyond a joke.

You don't see Doncaster fans booing there team just because they got relegated, or Wolves booing Terry Connor because he hasn't won a game.

But our fans boo one of our best players this season, just because he played poor and we lost.

Well done Paul Konchesky for making a swearing gesture at the idiotic fans who let our club down. I would be livid and probably would of done something like that back aswell. Fans also need to look at facts instead of jumping on the play off bandwagon, Millwall coming into today have done extremely well of late at home, and today's match was never winnable.

Fans got a taste of their own medicine if true, good players like Konchesky can now decide to leave if they want, as they won't wanna stick with a club with fans who boo all the time, if true and Konchesky leaves in the summer the fans are to blame, Konchesky has been our best left-back for some time.

I was there and confirm that at the end of the match he was the first player to come towards the Leicester fans and applauded them - he then presumably got some abuse and then flicked a V sign to the right hand side of the stand.

He had a shocking game which included giving away the penalty and then taking a corner in the final minutes which went out of play.

He gave his usual whole hearted but hesitant performance littered with free kicks against him and a yellow card that puts himself under pressure.

He's definitely one of the weaker players in the squad and is just an average Championship player. We need better.

Disagree. He's got fantastic energy and tries to use the ball intelligently rather than hoofing it anywhere.

We've got far weaker areas in the team than Konchesky's.

What a stupid untrue comment.

Get a flaming grip you t**t :@

The people saying that "It's so out of character" Konchesky swearing at the fan(s) need some wake up juice. Have you seen the guys general demeanor? I wouldn't trust him one bit. I bet he can be grade one bell end given half a chance.

Having said that, like all clubs, we have some proper divs going to our games. Unfortunately these people tend to be the loudest and most noticeable.

It's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Giving away the penalty was totally unprofessional. Loads of people said he had " a 'mare".

In such an important game you need a mature balanced and controlled performance. His disciplinary record puts him under pressure in matches.

I assumed he was doing it at the Millwall fans on the lower tier who were abusing him when he came to clap us on the upper.

Ha! Was it really a two-tier stand?

That's probably your answer then. Hilarious.

It obviously hurts him when we loose and loves the #highriskarmy... its in black and white go look for yourself.... i think you are judjing him by the fact that he has a skinhead... another idiot on here

Paul konchesky @konch3

My sincere apologies to all my loyal #LCFC fans for my reaction at the end of the game.just to clear things up the gesture was directed at 1 fan that had abused me at the end of the game and called me all the wankers under the sun, he had got well and truly under my skin.

Constructive critism is always welcome if u think I haven't played to my best ability but abuse gets u nowhere. I give 100% every game so I send my apologise again to all the loyal and faithful #LCFC fans

They'd won one at home in 2012, what are you talking about? If a player wants to leave, then he can leave, we don't want players here who are only here for the money and not because they want to get us promoted and want us to do well.

Stop blaming our fans, every season we pay thousands following this football club, just because theres a few idiots giving it the big un to Konchesky, that doesn't give him the right to start swearing or gesturing at our fans.

EDIT: So he did it to one fan, that still doesn't make it right, he should be more professional, however he has now apologised and we should move on.

Have a word with yourself. The fans have been the only thing that hasn't let the club down this season.

i assume there were Millwall fans below us unless it was empty for safety, but they gave him stick all game for his West Ham links.

Just taken from his twitter feed.

Not enough to make me want him out the club to be honest.

To be honest if it was just one dickhead fan then I can over look it but if he was swearing at the fans in general then sack the bastard!
