Gallaghers Brother in law Twitter GAZSMITH2011

Because he gets booed before even coming on the pitch, you can't win, the fans that hate gallagher have and will always hate Gallagher he has singlehandedly won us games with his goals, but afterwards you will still get people moaining about him and his performance.

I don't blame him for leaving, if I was in his position I would, and to be honest if I was any of our other players watching the treatment he gets I wouldn't be suprised if some of them thought the same.

You can't expect players to be loyal when we can't even support our longest serving players, Gallagher, Wellens, Howard, have all had more stick than they deserve, to a lesser extent Dyer and King too. You want loyalty, then show some first.

Very foolish of his brother in law to tweet such things. I would trade places with Gally any day of the year. To be a professional footballer and to play for LCFC is an honour. Not saying Gally isnt committed but for his family to constantly wine about idiot fans is again foolish. Surely they appreciate every football club has sections of fans that are idiots? People will complain when a player is playing poorly on the pitch, its a shame, but that is the life of a professional footballer.

Yes, but he shouldn't have to put up with a very large section specifically giving him abuse every game, nor should he accept his wife getting stick on twitter.

I defend our fans a lot of the time but there are some absolute tossers around me and that's one of the reasons I haven't been since the Forest game and won't be going to the West Ham game either.

I find it quite sad that we've actually pushed a player out, and one that seemed to really like being at the Club last season and the one before.

Completely agree. The attitude of some of our fans is horrendous. I've said it before, I'd rather have gates of 10-15k fans who go to support the club and its players, than have the extra few who go to berate and boo our players. Gally hasnt had a good season by his or anyone's standards, but you'd be hard pushed to find anyone that has

YIP, he will move to nirvana..live happily ever after..play 15 games a season and score 7 goals a season (four pens two free kicks)....he is so lucky...bet he can't wait ...good luck to the lad..

I think you should be appointed to "vet" every fan to assess their suitablity to be a REAL fan...your clearly better than most and are well qualified..

Why are the people booing seen as the bad guys in this scenario? Gallagher is an inconsistent player. He has won us games in the past but for the most part he is disappointing/ineffective.

If we worshipped him would he play well every week?

I dont think Gally is that kind of player so should we be content with someone who performs every once in a while and pay him thousands to do so?

Its nothing personal and I know this club has low standards but ultimately the blame lies with Gallagher.

Why are people suggesting we the fans are pushing Gally out? maybe NP doesn't think he is good enough or consistent enough for a side aspiring for promotion next season, I see him as part of the deadwood along with Wellens and co.

Twitter is bad news.

Wannabes will used any means to get themselves attention even if that is leaching off a minor footballer.

I agree some fans attitude towards Gallagher has been disgusting, but it's an idiotic minority and Gallagher has treated all the fans with disdain since some gave him a hard time, and to me that's not right either.

He should be the bigger man.

Of course it is. Nobody else gets the stick he does on here and at the matches.

Explain why booing a player is a good thing? Those people are bad guys, they're anti-atmosphere and they've got no class.

It's not as small a minority as you're making out.

Is this the same 'minority' which booed Ricardo?

If this all is the case, it's more evidence that NP can make the right changes to take the club forward, think there's been some movement on the Vardy front too, so hopefully we have the forward we so badly needed this season.

Re Vardy, is this based on anything or an educated guess? Couldn't see another thread anywhere mentioning movement.

I meant it wasnt personal to me. And so what if it is personal to all the others, to put it simply fans are fed up with Gallagher and he isnt going to change and become a player who makes an impact most of the time.

Booing isnt effective but the booers arent trying to provoke Gallagher into playing better, they're telling him hes had more than enough time to get sorted but he hasnt so its time to go.

I dont think he will improve drastically if everyone gives him a break and starts supporting him.

I think the fans have seen more than enough of him to make a decision whether they want him here or not. This is all I will say on the matter because it all comes down to opinions and I have stressed mine.

Would be a massive loss to the club to lose Gallagher. Great servant to the club and when he's on form - you won't find a better free kick taker, or find anybody with a better technique than Gally. That said, one bad performance, and the fans get on his back and boo him. A couple of wayward passes last night that Gallagher of last season would have completed without even looking. Football is a confidence thing, you can have bags of quality, but if you haven't got the confidence to put it to use - then why bother?

Some of our fans this year have been an absolute disgrace, and its catching on. Kid sat behind me last night, after one of Gally's wayward passes, started chanting with his dad "disgrace" over and over again at one of his passes. I'd agree that he was poor - but aren't we "supporters"?

Hope he doesn't go.

Hardly, but I can have an opinion, and mine is that I don't understand why we seem to have a minority of fans who go just to complain

Some of the personal abuse Gally and his wife has had has been unacceptable, embarassing and quite frankly I couldn't blame him if he were to put a transfer request in. Saying this, he should be able to take any criticism football wise. After all he is a "professional". Fantastic ability technically but a player that we can't afford to have in this division, sadly.

It doesn't help when said player(s) have a bad attitude, a massive ego and arrogance.

What does being in League One have to do with Wellens and Gallagher passing to each other?

Very strange reply.

Clearly just a dig at LCFC generally, he said something similar to someone else on Twitter. Gally doesn't deserve personal abuse aimed at his family but the bottom line is he is a luxury player and not someone that will get it done week in week out, would be happy to see him go to be honest.

I am a member of Twitter and a fan of many years, my first post! With Players going in the summer it seems according to Paul Gallagher's brother in law @GAZSMITH2011 that Gally may have kicked his last balls at the club, personally I be glad for change though equally appreciate Gallagher's service. I have to say the brother in law seems to be a very angry bitter young man, I get the impression he is a free loader who gets by in life off Paul's success. I don't think his tweets about other players and ing Leicester city fans morons is particularly the best move in the world. I wondered if any other city fans think this Gaz Smith character is out of order, personally I feel he should keep his beak out of our teams business and certainly not slag off our fans after all it's there money he freeloads off!

Can you confirm/deny this about your son?

Thank god, its now a minority ,good..making progress...well I doubt anybody goes just to complain.. but LETs say if you spent a 100 quid in a restaurant and the food was shite would you just accept it and keep going? just because this is "football " it does not resolve the participants from any responsbility for their performance or end product..not in these financial times.. what was served up last night was piss poor..

When they werent even here

Also what does being in L1 for one season have to do with size of club. Does that mean Leeds are a tiny club because they were there for 3 seasons or Soton for being there two seasons

What about if you booed the waiter as he is leaving the kitchen, bringing you the food because last time you went to the restaraunt he dropped the food?

There are so many things wrong with this mentality.

You don't start booing a player just because you don't think he's good enough. That's absolutely pathetic. What kind of supporter are you? Did you boo all the players onto the pitch during the 2007/08 season?

I know they're not trying to provoke him into playing better, it's very obvious that they actually hate him. Tell me, what is so dislikeable about him compared to our other players? King and Wellens have been just as bad this season if not worse, Dyer's been poor at this level overall, Howard the same since he's been here and he was even part of the relegation team. Peltier has been a liability for some time. Mills has been an arrogant dick since he's been here but even he doesn't get this much stick.

So do you boo all those players? Tell me the justification for picking on one player?

You sound like a spoilt child 'I think the fans have seen more than enough of him to make a decision whether they want him here or not'. So basically Pearson rates him, you've thrown a wobbly because you don't and you've decided to abuse him until you get your way.

There have been far worse players for Leicester and ones who have shown a far worse attitude.

I never get the analogies people make about buying cars or food etc. You go knowing very well you might walk away unhappy, it's the chance you take with buying a ticket. I don't boo the manager at the cinema because I didn't like the film.
