This.

He isnt good enough consistently and we cant play him in hope he scores one of his rare long shots.

What's your opinion on others then... Given that Gally has the 2nd best goals per game ratio at the club this season? I think it's actually the best when worked out per start?

You must really, really, really, really, really, really hate them then.

Regardless of my opinion on Gallagher, the way he's been treated by a minority of our fans is embarrassing.

He's a Leicester City player and quite frankly, as a set of fans, we've let him down far more than he's let us down.

Nail on head.

Booing a player ON to the pitch? What is the fvcking point?

Would never boo our own players and have never booed Gallagher, I also don't hate Gallagher or particularly rate him. But I just hope Pearson does us a favour and just get rid of him, then hopefully we will run out of things to moan about. Don't get me wrong he has scored some quality goals and I memorable free kick against Forest, but Lilian Nalis scored a wonder goal at Leeds, didn't make me want to keep him. If hes not happy then go. Same goes to any other player who isn't happy. Maybe Pearson can bring in hungry and determined players, similar to Marshall & Drinkwater, who show 100% effort in more than just the odd game!

Pearson has already replaced Gally with Marshall, sure they both wouldn't have played were it not for recent suspensions & injuries in the middle.

Same goes for Wellens & Drinkwater.

If NP's plan is to get them out in the summer then, he's already done the work required to make that happen, shame someone signed them up to lucrative 3 year contracts though.

Just wondering, who actually wants Gallagher to stay and if so why? I can't think of any reason why we should keep him

10goals from midfield, second best goals to game ratio, set piece specialist, never missed a penalty at lcfc, long distance shooter, good accuracy, good passer, stays on his feet

To be frank, my first point out of thatlist made your question look silly anyway.

Now I have answered your question, please can you enlighten me as to how you plan on replacing his goals IF he does leave?

If the rumours of a 'bust-up' are true, I for one would not be too surprised. Managers often fall out with players who they do not want at the football club and try to make it as difficult as possible for them, making them wanting to leave.

Although there is the argument of 'why did he pick him then'? while it was still mathematically possible, Pearson needed to pick a side which contained 'proven' players.

Gallagher has had a total of 36 shots in the league resulting in 8 goals (roughly 1 in 4).

He's had 19 shots on target so he has a goals to shots on target ration of just over 1 in 2.

Of those 8 3 were Pens, so if we minus 3 shots and 3 goals his ratio becomes just over 1 in 6 and his goals to shots on target becomes 1 in 3.

To put in in context Nugent has had 105 shots and scored 15 goals (1 in 7)

Now I think Gallagher is a bag of wank as a player but I would say that people find fault where they want to see it and ignore it elsewhere (more than likely including myself) as a 'good' ratio for a striker is generally just below 1 in 8.

Oh and he has only committed 12 fouls, which means he's either excellent at tackling or a great big pussy who never challenges for the ball

This is why I hate social media at times.

I completely disagree with anyone who feels that they are entitled to voice their 'opinions' to the family of Paul about his performance in the GAME of football in such a manner. These 'opinions' are often an excuse just to hurl abuse at them and Gally because it is an easy thing to do when you're hiding behind a computer or phone. Just like any of us would for someone we are related to and care about, there is a threshold of how much sh*t you can take on the chin and ignore. So when his in-laws do react, why should people be surprised? They have every right to defend their family member from the unnecessary stick, especially if they're seeing lies brandished around too (like Gally not committed to the club, and that he's fell out with NP). It's a sad state of affairs when football 'fans' are going out of their way, outside of matches, to seek arguments and confrontation with people close to a player. He's obviously not going out there with the intention of playing poorly, and for the record, I think there are players that have performed MUCH worse recently. Yes, it might have been frustrating after the Burnley match because it sealed our fate as a championship team next year, as well as our recent poor TEAM performances, but no one can justify abusing individual(s) because of it.
