Would be a massive loss to the club to lose Gallagher. Great servant to the club and when he's on form - you won't find a better free kick taker, or find anybody with a better technique than Gally. That said, one bad performance, and the fans get on his back and boo him. A couple of wayward passes last night that Gallagher of last season would have completed without even looking. Football is a confidence thing, you can have bags of quality, but if you haven't got the confidence to put it to use - then why bother?

Some of our fans this year have been an absolute disgrace, and its catching on. Kid sat behind me last night, after one of Gally's wayward passes, started chanting with his dad "disgrace" over and over again at one of his passes. I'd agree that he was poor - but aren't we "supporters"?

Hope he doesn't go.

At the Swindon game I was sat next to two kids, one a girl about 5 years old, and everytime he got near the ball she was going 'Gallagher out' or 'always shit on the Gallagher' lol. Her Dad was encouraging it. Absolutely shocking parenting.

All season Leicester fans have been complaining about how the team show no consistency and can't string a number of wins together like Reading have done to gain promotion. Well I'm sorry but you only have to look at players like Gallagher and understand why that is! On his day he is arguably one of the best players in the league, skilful, great free kick/penalty technique, outrageous long shots, goals the lot. However that is on his day.....his day comes once every 10-12 games! Yeah he's scored 10 goals this season but you will find the majority of these came in the same games and a lot have come from penalties. You cannot excuse the rest of the games where he is non-existent or worse actually a detriment to the team, i would rather have a player of less ability such as Jobi Mcanuff but who consistently delivers performances of an acceptable level. You just cannot afford to carry people in this league.

I don't think anybody is denying his poor performances, or his ability - i think the fact is that his confidence is at a low - and we are supporters who should support and encourage to get a positive reaction, rather than boo and wonder why all of our best players have dropped in form.

Makes me so angry. I'm a season ticket holder, and thats the first time i've ever seen them there, so whats worse is that they probably turned up for that game, thinking there was hope for a last minute Promotion push. Same sorta people who would boo Yakubu!

or it could be that seeing as they're about to have twins it will be "all change" for them

Certainly could be, but she's also tweeted that one of them isn't growing at the right rates and she's in & out of hospital having steroid injections... If that tweet relates to the twins it seems out of context with her before & after tweets about them

Re Vardy, is this based on anything or an educated guess? Couldn't see another thread anywhere mentioning movement.

Vardy tweeted something... could mean any club, but bert's been conversing & retweeting so there's a greater chance there's something in it, than not.

Although I know it's not conclusive proof of anything.

It's not as small a minority as you're making out.

Is this the same 'minority' which booed Ricardo?

I was at the game last night and the booing although audible was not exactly deafening. So yes I think it's a minority of idiots who has sniffed the fumes of a pint and think it's clever.

Football has always reflected society and sadly these pricks populate all walks of life these days.

Thanks, fingers crossed, think he would be a great signing for £1m or less.

I never get the analogies people make about buying cars or food etc. You go knowing very well you might walk away unhappy, it's the chance you take with buying a ticket. I don't boo the manager at the cinema because I didn't like the film.

It's called direct responsibility. You wouldn't complain to the manager of a cinema about a shit film because he didn't make it and is not responsible if you didn't like it, but those players are directly responsible for any good or abject performance, just like a comedian on stage or actors in a play who get heckled or cheered based on their performance.

Blackburn fan that i know says he is ridiculously frustrating, looks like he was correct.

If he thinks he is going to go back there and get a fantastic reception he is mistaken, and as we have seen with BRFC fans this year, they can be more hostile than us towards their own people.

I wouldn't blame gally for leaving us this summer, I feel embarrassed sitting in a stadium with others booing our own players. He's been a good servant to the club and you just know if he comes back with another club our fans will boo him.

You should though, because if you did they would definitely stop showing shit films and only show brilliant ones. This is the only possible outcome of this course of action.

Instead you sit there with your prawn sandwich clapping John Carter. You're a disgrace to LCFC, that's what you are

Quite simply we need 11 players working their nuts off for each other game in, game out, regardless of whether it's a top team at home, or a so called struggler away on a grim February evening. Gally seems to have the class for situation A, but doesn't appear to have the determination for Situation B.

He's not the only one.

What about if you booed the waiter as he is leaving the kitchen, bringing you the food because last time you went to the restaraunt he dropped the food?

I don't boo anybody, but if a waiter dropped trays on a regular basis he would get the poke..fact...not get three months off on full pay after falling out with the manager..

Did people actually boo him though? I heard some booing when he came on, but assumed it was the Burnley fans booing because of his blackburn links. I seem to remember them giving him some stick last season when he scored a penalty against them. He's been an ok player for us, but very inconsistent. Not helped by every manager not really knowing what his best position is. Wide, left, right?, just behind a striker? Top of a diamond?

I find him a frustrating player; only has 2 good games in 10, but booing him before hes done anything is just daft. It doesn't help he gets put on the wing I don't think hes a natural winger. Hes more of a central attacking mid in a 3. He always drifts into the center from the wing, has no pace and rarely tracks back. Like when Oakley got stuck out on the wing he gets a load of shit; but in his natural position he might do better, but hes hardly ever started there.

I think he'd be a good squad player next year but if he wants to leave i wouldn't blame him, even though i ain't his biggest fan.

I don't understand why he gets so much shit when Beckford and King don't really get half of it (lately people have come to realise King's shortcomings, but it took a lot ages). It seems some people look for something to boo Gallagher about, but a lot of the same people look to defend Beckford and King when they do something wrong/similar. All 3 seem to be luxury players.

As soon as he came on last night everyone around me was moaning about him, as if we'd been scintillating without him. There was one incident just outside the box where one of our lads blasted the ball against his shins and it bounced off him only for the knobhead in front of me to say "there, you see. He's got no control".

If I was Gallagher I'd want to get away too.

I'd have left ages ago if I was playing for us. Not just if I was Gallagher, if I was anyone at all. We're a pretty poor club with absolutely hideous fans, if it wasn't for the money, Sven and promises of Premier League football very soon, I doubt many of them would be here.

If he wants to go then good. Been shite for the majority of the season. He can take the other Manc Chuckle Brother with him too. Just hope they can accept a major wage cut in the process because no one in their rigt mind would pay either of them the money they were stupidly given here.

While we are on the subject Mills can **** off too.

On his day he's a brilliant player, unstoppable at his best but, like yesterday, when he plays badly he's one of the worst players on the pitch. I wouldn't mind if he played badly and put all his effort in but he seems to pull out of too many challenges, can't make simple passes and doesn't head the ball. Such a frustrating player, wouldn't be sad to see him go in the summer he's just consistent enough to be a key player (like most players to be fair). It's not like we need him for set-pieces either now as we have Marshall who can whip in an even more dangerous ball.

Thanks for the memories Paul but it's time to move on.

I don't get why people go crazy over Ben Marshall and then boo Paul Gallagher, they are both pretty similar players and Paul has scored more times this season.

Ben Marshall is a promising young player has the right mentality and is someone to build the squad around it also help that he a winger unlike Gally.

Most of the people who've booed Gally this season openly wank over Beckford

Gally has scored the same amount of goals & in less starts... done it from an out-wide position and mostly with a back injury.

People are welcome to their opinion of either player but there is a complete hypocrisy over their reactions to these particular two that I just don't get.

But Marshall hasn't always played on the wing and like Gallagher doesn't really "do a lot" other than score from range, take corners we don't score from and lose possession quite easily. Marshall is a quicker and a bit younger.

Yet one is a hero and the other is a waste of oxygen.
