As he's mentioned time and time again, he can't unveil some names as it may give away who his source is.

As you said you prefer people to tell you who you are signing, so there are your sources.

I said last week you were signing a scouse CB, have you not? listen to ZW you'll see what I mean, I COULDN'T tweet his name, how hard is this for some people to understand, but in order to let all you moaning sods know I give it to stringer who put it on the BBC.

Ego trip? Quite the opposite there. Learn a new word, its rather boring, half of you only harp on about egos because you get a little +1 next to your post.

I don't find it 'fun' providing 'rumours' at all, as you'll probably see from FO its pretty much stopped on there from the abuse and same on here, its much a chore, but as a fan I'd personally rather be told about accurate signings then convince myself you're signing Britton, but whatever floats your boat.

It doesn't really bother me, but if you can't give the name, why bother giving out clues and being all cryptic? Just keep it to yourself.

If it wasn't for the BBC reporting the Whitbread story you'd probably still be waiting on the OS, they only put it up so soon because it was then common knowledge.

It's quite clear we're not signing Britton. None of these 'ITK' kids ever get anything even close to being right.

If I were you i'd keep these 'mystery' signings to yourself until you are able to name them.

What is the point in saying 'you're signing a mystery player, i can't tell you who it is though'? Just keep it to yourself, then, when you can, you can come out and tell us who it is and everyone's happy.

I actually said you're signing a CB who is 'scouse'. I also named that player to Babylon so people couldn't go 'You just said where signing a player but you just guessed' nonsense like coming out now.

TF and Bert are the only sources we can really trust as so much bs is going around. There's no point in them saying a player for us to get our hopes up then it not pulling off, we should just take what they give us and be happy with it.

One request from me - If it doesn't work out with this player will you DM me or let everyone know exactly who it is?

always the way, we actually have a couple of posters who are privy to certain bits of information about our club, and people call them and have a go! i don't blame bert or toffee fox for getting pissed off with it all. i can't blame them if they want to stay away and keep the info to themselves in the future. i, like many others i'm sure, appreciate what they post as any information about my club i value, and knowing more, even if it's the most minute and trivial thing, is better than not knowing.

He did that with Whitbread and was correct. I assume he'd be more willing to tell Babylon again as he did keep his mouth shut.

I just hope you don't stop posting on here or if you do, you continue to tweet your info. It would be sad if a bunch of jealous, simpletons prevented others from gaining a little insight.

God this TF and Bert love in is ridiculous.

The issue was a supposed wind up. If that was their game then it was a bit naive to think it wouldn't irritate people.

If it wasn't then fair enough. If you're actually privy to decent info then the sticks and stones of a few posters mean nothing. Just ignore them - it's easy.

Can't see the point in spittng the dummy.

Toffee has anyone suggested the correct name since this latest revelation caused so much debate - just a yes or no will do. If yes, at least it will stop anymore wild guesses, if no, we can discard Heskey, Spearing et al. Thanks.
