TLOU was excellent but yes I agree it needs more episodes, more Joel and Ellie time. On a side note having Ashley Johnson playing her mum and hearing her speak in Ellie's voice was a bit freaky!

Enjoyed TLOU but was left feeling that it could of been so much better.

The sets were fantastic, story good but the glaring lack of infected spoilt it.

As above it needed more episodes or choose the content of some of the episodes more sensibly.

Wouldnt watch it again.
7/10

Really liked TLOU, just felt a bit let down with the last episode. I think I've got so used to the final episodes of streaming shows being a grand, extended set piece. When it ended abruptly I was just thinking WTF. If there was an extra 15-30 minutes in there, with more infected (like the bloater episode), I think I'd have been satisfied by it. I appreciate they are showing the danger from humans as well as the infected, but you do start wondering how bad it is as you rarely see many of them.

Paula review in Teh Grauniad: "In her heyday, Paula Yates was second only to Princess Diana in the top tier of UK celebs"

Really?

I'd bet at least half the people alive in the UK at the time wouldn't have had a clue who she was.

A good faithful episode to finish of TLOU, loved the giraffes and the opening sequence with Anna. I found the gun fight to be a bit cheesy and out of keeping with the tone of the series, but the dialogue between Joel and Ellie was spot on right up to the end.

Main criticism of the show is the lack of threat from the infected, that feeling of the constant threat of infected would make Joel's decision even harder, but Joel and Ellie haven't seen any infected since Kansas. We've had more encounters in flash backs, Sam, Bill, Riley, Anna than in real time, Capitol and Kansas. We've seen more communities rebuilding than infected. It all felt like the world finding its feet after the apocalypse than still in the middle of it, which makes it a much easier decision for Joel to make than if it felt like a world constantly on the edge.

Finished The Hot Zone: Anthrax, what a messy case and how it ended was a little sad.

Over all a decent twelve episodes of television with the two seasons.

TLOU was ok but could’ve been so much better (after the first episode, I’ve never played the game). Hope they don’t do another season and just leave it.

They are doing 2 more seasons which will be based on the 2nd game

Don’t really have many complaints about TLOU other than it would have been nice to have a couple more episodes. Thought it was excellent television and can’t wait for season 2 whenever that comes along. 9/10 from me for the series overall

Series 3 of Picard is outstanding so far imo.  Episode 4 was brilliant, particularly this scene:

I thought that scene was a load of nonsense. How can he have a go at Picard for helping the Borg when he was kidnapped and assimilated against his will?

I’m watching series 1, and can’t help but think there is a huge amount of artistic license going on with the story. I find half of the stuff happening highly improbable, and a few people involved have already questioned this account.

Which I think is going to be a really tough job. (I'm assuming you've played the game)

Part 2 is so much bleaker, and the story id dumber with Lev's "community" and then the ridiculous fast travel and convenient coincidences of the final sequence and I don't think it will translate at all well without some serious re-working.

I'm half expecting the season 2 to focus on Abby and develop the Jackson situation and ending where the game really begins if you know what I mean.

I’m not sure you’re right about that. In the 1990s, Paula Yates was rarely off the front pages of the tabloids, other than when Princess Diana was featured. And she was treated appallingly by the press and broadcast media, largely on the basis that she was unfaithful to Saint Bob Geldof.

Sometimes this country is disgustingly sanctimonious, and rarely more so than when the press hounded those women.

It does say some stuff added for drama but basically a true story, as for improbable, well, life is full of improbable dumb stuff, still for the life of me cant fathom how Boris became the leader of this countrylol, it was a nice little something to watch whilst waiting for this weeks Mandalorian :)

Did the second series of Back To Life

Netflix, alright. Jeez, I’d barely finished writing the last line and I could sense Parafox screaming at his monitor. It’s on fvcking Netflix.

The scripting of the one liner pay-offs is just top drawer. The entire thing about the crimpers coming to fruition in episode 6 was glorious.

Brilliantly written, brilliantly acted. Wonderful.

Sounds like a lot when they've attributed the find to the main character, and apparently it's not true. lol

The stuff about monkey's in the backs of cars, professionals outright lying about being exposed etc. I just sit there wondering how so many professionals could be so irresponsible. Still enjoyable!

Brother-in-law texted me yesterday and swore blind he was walking his dog down Sileby Marina and saw... Bella Ramsay on a driving lesson lol. I mean she's from around these parts anyway so it could be true.

As for TLOU itself I felt the last two episodes were a bit subdued. Never been a fan of set pieces in films or tv where the character is fighting in some sort of trance, like Joel did in the hospital. I felt like it could have been handled better as a one shot action sequence perhaps. Also, not enough infected IMO.

Otherwise a 7/10.

Randomly saw this last week. So she's either passed already or got the ready for passing and she bought the car from a local garage. Very likely was her.

Sounds good. What station is it on? Asking for a friend.
