davieG Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 Shouldn't he have been signing some more players or watching the L1 play-offs to size up potential opposition for next year instead enjoying himself going for a jolly countryside walk FFS Leicester City's Three Peaks Challenge for One In A Million has received a late boost, with City boss Nigel Pearson joining the team on the eve of their first climb! Members of staff from across the football, community and administrative sides of the Club will attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales this weekend (26/27 May), with all profits raised going towards the One In A Million campaign's £150,000 target. And just a day before the challenge begins on Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands, the team's latest recruit is none other than the Foxes boss himself! Pearson joins an ascent team that will attempt to climb the 1,344m-high Ben Nevis, before heading to Cumbria's Lake District to scale 978m of Scafell Pike - the highest peak in England. From there the challenge will roll into north Wales, where the group will tackle all 1,085m of Mount Snowdon. Every penny raised through sponsorship, online and text donations will go directly to the LCFC Foxes Foundation's One In A Million campaign and the ten Leicester charities it supports. The LCFC Foxes Foundation's One In A Million campaign aims to take the £850,000 raised for charity by Club Ambassador Alan Birchenall through the £1million-mark in his 40th year with the Foxes. All funds raised through the One In A Million campaign will be divided among the following ten Leicester charities, all of whom have played a central role in One In A Million's promotion and delivery.
