I don't see what's wrong with Chappers. Improvement on Murray, for sure. I don't mind him.

Maybe its the scott mills association i just dont get him. He will be perfect for what they are wanting. A presenter who asks questions. Because his sporting knowledge is poor.

Purloined from Bentleys

Everton away support.

3,000 to Southampton for a televised Monday night game with all the weather issues - fantastic effort.
Sky Sports News reporter asked an Everton fan outside the ground why he's come all the way to Southampton on a Monday night.

"Cause of you lot" was the reply.

Don't know how that moon faced muppet Chappers ever became a presenter in the first place. He's so dull. Didn't used to like him but Murray has actually grown on me. I'd still much prefer an ex-pro to do it though than some 'personality' type.

So one quiet/poor game and he's shit? He's been excellent for a couple of seasons now. He's earned his chance to be on the fringes of the squad.

Osman is a busy player who does a job but like Matt said his technique is poor and he lacks any real quality in the final 3rd.

Everton's away support is good though, always has been as long as I can remember. Well supported club, and a club I like. I didn't watch the game, but 3,000 fans from Liverpool to Southampton on a cold, worknight is excellent.

I've always thought that about Everton actually. A couple of times I've seen them winning and playing really well at home to Liverpool and I've been really surprised at how quiet it is.

It's a shame because when they are making some noise Goodison Park seems a really atmospheric stadium.

Why do Newcastle keep trying to sign defenders when the whole world can see what they need is another striker?

It's a bluff. They're trying to publicly sign a defender to lure QPR in to buying him then they'll swoop for a striker whilst Arrys distracted!

While Mike Williamson and Danny Simpson are anywhere near the first team you can't sign enough defenders.

lol yeah why pay a scout 30-50 grand a year when you can just offer to double the 5 figure weekly wages of players other people have found? like your thinking Arry.

Wouldn't mind if they got rid of all the presenters and just showed football.

Yea, this. They offer next to no insight into any of the games anyway apart from Murray identifying one thing to laugh at each game. He'd have done a 5-6minute feature on Puncheon's shit during the game.

They could extend the highlights of every game and everyones a winner.

Didn't mind Colin Murray to be honest, so what if he had an opinion on the games, if you ask me they should get rid of Hansen and Lawrenson...

That would be the best idea, no presenter or expert opinions. Just match highlights...

It sums up some footballllers both current and form that they think NO-ONE who hasn't "played the game" is allowed an opinon...yet the fans are the ones who keep the game going and ring into stuff like 606 or watch MOTD.

2 things...

1: Hanson and lawrenson need to go. Both sinking further into their seats as the weeks go, slurring their words and generally looking like old goats. Get rid. (I agree Gary Neville should be on bbc, despite slight bias towards united he has decent in sight just not to the drab and boring degree of gray and keys)

2:

I must say I like how the FA dish out fines to managers swiftly whenever they make comments against referees

....but sir Alex does it quite obviously and not for the first time...he gets to 'explain' his comments?? Seriously think they are scared of him!

Firstly, they aren't meant to offer insight, they are presenters. They are there to introduce the games and suggest topics to the pundits to discuss. Murray is actually getting chopped because he offered his opinion too much. I actually like his style, he was relatively funny and stocked up some debate amongst the pundits. Chappers is a presenter and nothing else. You'll get nothing from him other that dull links and questions to pundits that they've written themselves. At least Murray seemed to have his own voice, and even if you didn't agree with his opinion, at least it was his opinion.

I would have preferred Dan Walker to Chappers but he's not a bad replacement.

Dan Walker won't do it because he's a devout Christian, he won't work Sundays.
