Narborough_fox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Old news but did anyone else see the message that Adkins left after he was sacked by Southampton? Really do feel sorry for him.

Guest shearfox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 What a great guy, at least he's turn round and said no hard feelings. If Pearson was to leave for whatever reason, Adkins would be my first choice, he did a fantastic job at Southampton.

Also on a another subject according to twitter Man U have completed the deal for Zaha from palace worth £15million! Looking at the Man U team does this mean Ashley Young will be leaving?

Looking at the Man U team does this mean Ashley Young will be leaving? £15m??? Only because he fits the "homegrown" criteria. Massive gamble in my opinion for that much cash. As an aside, how much would Knocky be worth...? Zaha: Apps: 26 Goals 5 Knocky: Apps: 27 Goals 6

AjcW Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Anyone notice mr jimenez has turned up at southampton... he's always been bad news, alongside wise at newcastle etc... I reckon he had a big part to play in the Adkins departure. In other news, im feeling goals goals goals tonight
Tinman Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Apparently no mention of Adkins in the match programme tonight.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Southampton having much the best of it so far. Sort it out Everton
ScouseFox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Puncheon left the pitch to go the toilet and came back to a chant of "Jason Puncheon, he went for a shit!"
VinceNoir Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 He went for a shit, he went for a shiiiiiiit, Jason Puncheon he went for a shit. Brilliant from the saints fans, albeit a crap tune!
iamafox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Well, he didn't do that much for them. Err, 2 successive promotions in only 2 seasons?
Corky Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Err, 2 successive promotions in only 2 seasons? My comment wasn't serious.
StanSP Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Sums the match up perfectly when the most entertaining part of it is a player going for a dump mid-match. Boring match. Only a few clear-cut chances and Everton, for the most part, were dire. Southampton should have capitalised in the first half when they had many chances to.
Guest MattP Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 That was painful to watch. Osman for England?
Jimothy Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 That was painful to watch. Osman for England? So one quiet/poor game and he's shit? He's been excellent for a couple of seasons now. He's earned his chance to be on the fringes of the squad.

It was his techinque to be honest, it was laughable at times, pub standard. The thought of him in a midfield v Xavi and Iniesta for Spain just makes me cringe.

I agree, it's bad enough when you've got average mid-table players like Joey Barton feeling he should be first choice, and some people agreeing. Brian Reade made a great point the other day: We shouldn't be building a team around Wilshere, we should be building players like him.
StanSP Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Hurrah! Time to rejoice! Couldn't stand Colin Murray at all. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2266133/Colin-Murray-axed-Match-Day-2-presenter-Mark-Champman-replacement.html

I rejoyced when childs left only for murray to get the job. Now hes finally gone we get chappers. When will they just pay gary enough to work sundays?
StanSP Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 I don't see what's wrong with Chappers. Improvement on Murray, for sure. I don't mind him.
