During Euro 2012 I was impressed with Keane, he spoke well and obviously knows his stuff. Thought he did ok at Sunderland, Ipswich just didn't work out for him.

He didn't look bothered at Ipswich. Every press conference he did he looked depressed, i think he was glad to be sacked!

Roy Keane does just seem to upset people, as said previously he doesnt have the right temperment.

Didnt do well at Ipswich at all, seemed to totally lose the players before getting sacked.

Some what tarnished his reputation and I wouldnt want him.

Can't just be me who sees the likeness surely?

Please, PLEASE appoint Roy Keane. It'd make my fvcking summer!

Yep, on a one year rolling contract.

It's just another random twitter rumour I think. Along with the newest one that 'Arry has had a change of heart and has rung our new overlords. Basically, nobody knows anything but it's supposed to be being announced tomorrow.

Whilst it's a big decision and needs to be a considered one...we only have 17 first team players and only, at best estimate, 3 defenders. So somebody somewhere needs to pull their finger out.

Cant see it happening

You would think Us & Forest would've learned something from this past year from Sven & McClaren

Plus, going by Svens history, he wouldn't be at a club like theirs, think Darren Ferguson would be the best option

Ferguson has ruled himself out saying he doesn't want to leave Posh. It won't be him.

Don't know who they'll get.

Another name just been threw in Aidy Boothroyd apparently he's speaking to the Forest owners. Also heard Mark Robins spoke to them a couple of days ago, blimey there linked to nearly every manager in the football league!

Looks like it's SOD.

Ah yes, the iconic SOD. I'll never forget where I was when he was...erm...sacked by Doncaster

Wrongly sacked, was a great manager for them.

Very different scenario to what SO'D is used to.

At Doncaster, he had a small budget and low expectations. Mid-table in the Championship and playing pretty football was fantastic for Donny but won't be anything like enough to satisfy Forest fans or, more pertinently, their owners. He's also likely to have a much bigger budget than he's used to, and that brings its own pressures.

On the other hand, his quiet personality should mean he avoids bust-ups with the board a la Billy Davies.

What Bilo said.

Won't get a chance to build a 'footballing side' at Forest.

Got a massive task on his hands to even get a side capable of staying up at the moment, let alone fight for promotion.

Feel sorry for him. In right at the deep end!

If we thought we overpaid for players last summer, wait till Forest try and sign some defenders! Going to have to pay massivly over the odds!
