AKCJ Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 so do you think james and drinkwater are playing well because it sounds to me there not nor is the defence but we cant change that because we have not got a defender on the bench When has King ever added 'bite' to a midfield? The last thing we need is him to swan about the pitch doing nothing.
Legend_in_blue Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 The problem lies with playing a midfield 4. One of which was not convincing enough for me on Saturday. We need an extra man in there for away games.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Tell you what, im not at the game so im not going to comment on anything! People on here slate the commentary then use their opinions to voice their own!
Babylon Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Have those people going on about the fans being overly optimistic actually read the predictions thread. A thread that's notoriously optimistic at our shittiest of times has many charlton wins and probably more draws predicted than city wins.
onecapwonder Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 We've had two shots from 20+ yards and Young reckons we've got goals in us? Can't really see how we fix this, if Wright-Philips is doing us so badly with pace as they claim he is all have to do Charlton is sit back, let us attack and hit us on the counter in the second half, probably down our left as Konch has to get well forward to support our attacks.
acooling08 Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Take out James and put Danns on. If Vardy is hurt, put Nuge on. Throw Schlupp on for a defender at 80 mins if we're still losing.
L Blocker Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Note to self - Remember how that optimism fvcked with your head last season
Corky Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Now we'll see what we are made of. Get the next goal and we're back in it.
RonnieTodger Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Sounds like yet another Dyer miss has cost us. Game-changer
Manc Fox Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 we have never done things the easy way but let's all remember foxes never quit! Come on City & Fvck off Alan Young!!
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Not too fussed that we are losing 2-0 at half time really. We were always going to go behind by a couple at some point. The question is now is whether we HAVE indeed changed since last season. Will we come out in the second half and just fold to a miserable defeat, or will we come out second half fighting and grab something out of nothing. Great post...
halfpipe Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Anyone here at the valley? Only just realised it was tonight, thought it was Saturday like a retard so I've came down last minute and ended up with the charlton fans . Anyone fancy a drink afterwards if they're down here though ?
Ian W LCFC Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 5 shots with 0 on target, brilliant. Maybe bring on Danns, to give abit more energy to the midfield? and maybe Nuge on for Beckford?
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Beckford and Dyer have been very poor. Beckford has ignored Dyer on several occasions when IMO he should have put him on the over lap. I'm a long way from the other goal but their 2nd was very poor defending.
Heskey2011 Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Now we'll see what we are made of. Get the next goal and we're back in it. This.
Legend_in_blue Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 We have so many options available to us and yet we still persist with a system away from home that we know doesn't work.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Chrissy P obviously knows every page of NP's tactics book... all one of them Not hard to memorise a few lines on a single side of A4.
Leicester_Numan Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Having no defensive cover was going to haunt us at some point. We're not defending well and can't change it other than swapping De Laet and Moore. We can't protect Morgan from a sending off either. We're going to have to bring someone in on loan before Saturday
Poakey Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Beckford and Dyer have been very poor. Beckford has ignored Dyer on several occasions when IMO he should have put him on the over lap. I'm a long way from the other goal but their 2nd was very poor defending. Cheers
