Kitchandro Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 He's done nothing for us. No idea hoe people can be so irate about it. Baffling. Prefer Nugent and Vardy. He's off the wage bill. Loan window is still open. Calm down. 1. That's fine, but the fact is Vardy's proven nothing at any level above the conference, apart from one goal and one disallowed goal (cup goals don't count ) 2. What if one of them gets injured? Suspended? Is out of form and needs competition? Look at the teams that are promoted from this division, they had much higher calibre strikers on the bench than we've got now.
Libertine Dream Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 No benefit in loaning him out whatsoever. Mr Pearson, you best have a decent loan replacement lined up or come October 6th you may have your P45
samstown92 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Just shows his 'class' if no club wants him on a permanent deal. Wages.

There may be a recall option? We'd have to be desperate though.
Spudulike Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 In my opinion, Pearson hasn't put a foot wrong in the transfer market since he returned. The revolution contunues.
5waller5 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I think it's the polarisation of posters on here that cannot see anything other than all news from Leicester proving how great Nigel is.... that makes me want Nigel gone. How on earth can selling your first choice striker (yes, Nigel's first choice on the opening game of the season with a fully fit squad) possibly be good business??? And yet rather than admit that, there are still the usual brain washed Nigelettes chanting the mantra of "Nigey can do no wrong"

Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Seriously, if people are thinking we will be short of strikers... we have Nugent, Vardy, Schlupp and Futacs... NP is also the master of the loan market. He has as many misses as hits in my opinion. This move is a gamble that might not pay off.
Kitchandro Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 **** Nigel Pearson, if he thinks that Vardy who was linked to our rivals, Waghorn who has done it before, or Schlupp with the signs of potential he's shown during his time at Brentford are capable of replicating the immense total of nine goals the almighty Beckford provided then he must be ****ing insane. How dare he attempt to get our highest earning, third choice striker, off the wage bill. OH STFU. I can just about handle an argument for unproven players but players who have stagnated for 3 seasons and can't shoot below the bar anymore; just no. If Waghorn, Schlupp or Futacs get 9 goals this season I'll be shocked.
J.Lisemore Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Good, hes been useless ever since he got here.
Jace Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 What is all this bad attitude all about have I missed something because I can't remember him ever having a bad attitude?
adam Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Well were left with waghorn fuctas and schlup as backup. Not many goals there. No doubt were paying a percentage of beckfords wage too. Shocking decision.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 What is all this bad attitude all about have I missed something because I can't remember him ever having a bad attitude? They've made it up.
Soar Fox Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I will genuinely have a bet with anyone (money sent to charity) that Beckford will finish higher in the goal scoring charts than Nugent & Vardy.
Yuki! Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Happy if this is true, very overated player showed promise v forest. But very very average since then.
Mark_w Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I think it's the polarisation of posters on here that cannot see anything other than all news from Leicester proving how great Nigel is.... that makes me want Nigel gone. And yet rather than admit that, there are still the usual brain washed Nigelettes chanting the mantra of "Nigey can do no wrong" If he was Nigel's first choice striker for the season then Pearson wouldn't have loaned him out, don't be stupid, it's not like we're being forced to loan him out. Beckford shouldn't be ahead of Nugent, Nugent/Beckford was awful, our highest earner can't remain on the bench. The solution is to let him go clearly. It's hardly the end of the world, he's not been incredible for us, his record in the Championship is pretty poor. No big deal.
Swarles Barkley Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Speaking of loan deal when does it open or is it already open. And who do we want?
stevelcfc Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 OH STFU. Mark_w Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 They've made it up. Because I'll get partly blamed for it, I should point out I've never said a bad word about his attitude. It's the whole £25,000+ a week for an average championship striker thing that bugs me.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 If they get that between them i'll be shocked. Futacs might get near it, but if Waghorn and Schlupp register at all they've done well.
Brauny Fox Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 This has DJ Campbell written all over it! Watch Beckford fire Huddersfield into the bloody play-offs!!
5waller5 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Seriously, if people are thinking we will be short of strikers... we have Nugent, Vardy, Schlupp and Futacs... NP is also the master of the loan market. So that's a first choice of two with a young lad and a futacs (IMHO useless, and not that great a record previously) giving them competition for their place. It's a ridiculous bit of business.
