Random stupid stuff that springs to mind... literally

Recommended Posts

Anyone know much about windscreen repair/replacement. Got a crack about 15cm after something hit it on the motorway! Worried it's going to cost an arm and a leg!

Unlikely it can be repaired mate if a crack that big. Odds are it will get bigger, especially if the weather gets colder. Best call Autoglass or someone. Have you checked if your insurance covers it? Maybe ring them first off..

Just a bit of fun; can you get the right door?

You can only ask one question to each of the two men:

Paradox quiz.jpg

Ask each which door leads to Salvation.

They will give the same answer.

Go through that door if you want salvation and the other if you think eternal damnation sounds more fun.

But the one who tells the truth will say the salvation door and the one who lies will say the damnation door

The liar wouldn't though, you'd get 2 different answers. You need to ask "what does the other bloke say leads to salvation" - the truth-teller would tell you the other door, and the liar would tell you his door, so you go for the opposite door

You only need to ask the question of one of them:

The question is, 'does the liar stand by the door of death?'.

If you are facing the door to damnation and speaking to the liar, he will say 'no'; exit by the other door. If you are speaking to the truth-teller, he will also say 'no'; exit by the other door.

If you are facing the door of salvation, and speaking to the liar, he will say 'yes'; exit by that door. if you are speaking to the truth-teller he will also say 'yes'; exit by that door.

To sum up: No = exit other door; Yes = exit that door.

Bike seats.

My little resort town is inundated with summer cyclists at the moment. It's clear that there is a market out there for extra large, comfortable bike seats. Can't be that hard to make and a worldwide market awaiting. If only I could be bothered.

You don't need to know.

Just follow the maxim I gave above.

But you would need to ask your question 'does the liar stand by the door of death?'' to both of them

If you are facing the door of Damnation they will both say no and

If you are facing the door of Salvation they will both say yes.

But you don't know which door you are in front of in the first place and you can only ask each guy one question
