He genuinely believes that he is the second coming of Jesus when in ten years he will merely be Steven Seagal's stunt double. Funny how he never gave it the big one whilst at any other club either. But Bale's not really one of the best player's in the World, is he? In answer to your question it's because they're up against each other in the play off. Giggs/Bale/Best etc etc never really "missed out" on a World Cup in the sense that they were clearly never ever going to qualify playing for such shit teams. One of Zlatan or Ronaldo is going to be one of the best players in the World effectively denying the other the chance to strut their stuff on the big stage. Plus the fact we're all hoping for some crazily sensationalist reaction when one does miss out. Whether it be Ronaldo crying and having a massive hissy-fit or Ibra saying something like "I didn't even want to go anyway Brazil is a shithole x" I hope it'll be good.
