kingfox Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Nowhere near as good, and probably will never be as good as cole though. Silly thing to say, but fair play. It's not a silly thing to say. Obviously they will get a chance sooner or later. Course they are not better than Ashley Cole, did I say that? No I didn't
foxesfan1989 Posted 5 October 2012 Author Posted 5 October 2012 I'd be interested to know what those of you who are criticising him would do if you were publicly denounced as a lier. I can only assume that you would just sit there and take it. Depends if I were defending a racist or not. THATS RIGHT I SAID IT
Guest BlueBrett Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Depends if I were defending a racist or not. THATS RIGHT I SAID IT Yeh but none of us know whether Cole told the truth in his testimony. He obviously feels that he did so it isn't really surprising that he is pissed off at the FA for saying otherwise

But then I'm not on Twitter... ... because I'm not a retard.
Fox in the North Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Well at least it's never boring being English, something's always got to be happening. Have to admit his tweet made me chuckle. Huge admiration for his skill on the pitch, but sad to say bugger all admiration for him off it apart from the fact he won't mince his words.
Simo86 Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 It could be worse, the Italian FA have to deal with match fixing every season. Ours just have to monitor a social networking site for jibes!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Almost certainly wouldn't call them twats on Twitter because I'm not a retard. Neither am I so neither would I. It has become the medium of choice for sports stars though and clearly Cole sees it as the most effective means of publicising his rebuttal. It's not like he can write an editorial in The Times about it
foxesfan1989 Posted 5 October 2012 Author Posted 5 October 2012 Haha he has deleted the tweet. Why even bother? Been there for an hour, everyone has seen it. Maybe he get a telling off from his agent.
Simmo86 Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 No more Ashley for England then! Step forward Leighton Baines..
Jon the Hat Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 If the FA were not such a joke of an organisation they would not be concerned which irrelevancies like this. As they are a joke, then will no doubt get upset and charge him.
foxesfan1989 Posted 5 October 2012 Author Posted 5 October 2012 Now hes apologised. Yeah...bet that is WELL sincere 1 hour after the event. So contrived.
accessory Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 If the FA were not such a joke of an organisation they would not be concerned which irrelevancies like this. As they are a joke, then will no doubt get upset and charge him. Just like they did with Rio Ferdinand a couple of months back. Didn't he end up with a £20k fine for calling Cole a "choc ice"? The least they can do is show consistency. PS Things could get even worse for Cashley. His ex-missus will spill the beans on their marriage in the Sun next week. As if we needed any further evidence of what a greedy, self-centred jerk he is..

purpleronnie Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Its astonishing that he continues to act this way, he knows people dislike him but he continues to do stupid things, very odd.
Super_horns Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Jeopardising his England career in a heat of the moment tweet. Idiotic Once he gets to 100 caps he probably won't care that much about England... Another footballer using twitter without thinking...be somebody else next week.
Kitchandro Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Me too off the field, but on it Cole is one of the best left backs in the world and Terry is still arguably our best centre back, why force them out. Baines is not and will never be as good or better then Cole, so why do people want him to take Cole's place. Cole has probably been our most consistent International player for quite a while now There is nothing in that post that is not rubbish. Except the spelling. Baines has been a much better player for at least the last two years, Cole has only ever had one assett and that's pace, he and Terry have been frauds on the world game for many years. Terry is now a complete donkey who can't run. He's been at fault for numerous England goals over the years and was often a liability. It's funny how we have so many world class players yet England are an average at best international team. And it's amazing what the English public will believe if Sky and dumbass journalists keep harping on about it.

He is by far England's best centre back, as is Ashley Cole England's best left back and one of the best in the world.
Mack Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 When will these players learn that Twitter is not for them?

Usually agree with most of your posts Kitch but I think you're well off with this one mate. Ashley cole is and has always been world class, the top names of the game all seem to agree. Terry has never been quick but his positional sense and leadership is second to none imo. Both will be a loss to England but it is good to see some youngsters coming through. I think Bertrand will turn into a great player
Jordan Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Baines has been solid and consistent in the league, and is definitely one of the best left backs in the Premiership. However, he often fails to replicate his Everton form when he puts on an England shirt. Ashley Cole is a **** that just can't help himself but be a **** at every damn chance, but the England squad is better with him in it. Nothing good comes out of this nonsense for the FA and the fans. P.S. Speaking of The Sun, remember this? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/202603/Howey-Cole-is-such-a-coward.html

I don't think you can really judge form based on 11 sparsely played games, most which were friendlies where he was part of a weakened team. I don't think he's ever look quite as sensational for Everton than he has this season, and that's because of Pienaar, and his combination with him, but he's always been good. I don't think he's been any worse than his pre-Pienaar Everton form when he's played for England, but like I say it's hard to judge on those 11 caps.

whoareyaaa Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Cole won more trophies last year than Baines has in his whole career.
