MooseBreath Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 I'm very much a last minute shopper, so won't seriously think about buying anything until the 18th and in all probability the bulk of gifts will be bought on Christmas eve. There's something magical about clamouring around in the brik-a-brak isles at 5pm on the 24th along with all the other ill-prepared fools. Then it will just be a case of muddling through a variety of visits to and from friends and relatives, meanwhile eating far too much. Same as every year. Bring it on.
Zingari Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 Are they still having it this year ? I thought the world was ending on the 21st .
Soar Fox Posted 12 October 2012 Author Posted 12 October 2012 Won't your turkey have gone off by Christmas Day ???? Christmas dinner at the 1573 restaraunt in the Highcross this year.

Guest BlueBrett Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 Are they still having it this year ? I thought the world was ending on the 21st . It had better not. Trip to Amsterdam planned for my 25th. Would be bloody typical for the world to end on a Friday though

I don't want to unduly worry you or spoil your plans for Christmas, but is it possible that such a move could make for a slightly awkward moment at the dining table for your guests whilst you do that ?
Guest MattP Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 What a bunch of miserable bastards we've got here. Best time of the year, the booze, the family and friends, the parties, the happiness, the music. Can't wait, still like a kid when it comes to Christmas.
ithuriel Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 Pub near the Odeon on Freemans common has had trees up for a month already.
