How could we improve the team?

Not unless they are handing out 4 points for a win nowadays. Whoever is 6th has 17 points, we have 21. Poor research, do you work for the Mercury!!

Ok my bad. But the point still stands, it's only 10 games, how people can assume we're set because we're currently second I don't know.

5 in a rubbish team. Under 21 internationals isn't championship level? Most under 21 players will come from this level or it's equivalent in other countries or higher and I repeat, what more can he do but score when he gets a chance to play?, which he's doing

If he goes on to get 10 I'll eat my words. But you can't seriously be suggesting U21s internationals are evidence to suggest he's a goalscorer.

Except we've played a 4-2-3-1 on more than one occasion this season with Knocky in the hole, you just refuse to acknowledge this

NFP always starts with 2 men up, occasionally someone, usually Vardy (or Knockaert himself) fills in on the right.

Otherwise it is 4-4-fooking-2.....

I honestly don't think we should rock the boat with many - if any - permanent signings. We've a really strong young group that are only going to get better as they get more minutes. Perhaps a loanee or two for cover could be useful, though - Ignasi Miquel from Arsenal, or Danny Wilson from Liverpool? Both play left back as well as centre back, I'm led to believe (or read on Wikipedia).

Jack Robinson (already mentioned) from Liverpool would also be steady cover for Konch should he ever pick up a knock. Up top - Guidetti from City, perhaps? Had a cracking season last year in the Eredivisie.

I'm surprised Nige hasn't delved into the loan market yet given how shrewdly he used it last time he was here.

Second half vs Bristol we changed to 4-2-3-1. He doesn't always start that way but we have changed to it more than once with Knocky clearly playing in the middle and not drifting in from the right. Doesn't really matter what formation we are playing though as it's clearly working.

Shooting lessons for Drinkwater - he'd be a hell of a player if he had a goal in him.

Yeah waggy could pop along as well.

My suggestion would be more set moves for dead ball situations where everyone(on our side)knows exactly what they have to do.

Free kick against Bristol konch made a real big deal of setting the ball up,placing it etc and knocky took it.Good set play

We have Marshall and to a lesser extent Gallagher that could fulfill that role between the midfield and strikers.

Can either of them do what knocky does? No...gallagher lol

Sam Baldock. Mark my words, he's going to get the golden boot. We should launch a cheeky bid in January

I actually would agree with you, however with the service he's going to be getting/getting from Bristol's players won't be good enough for him to score enough goals to be the top scorer.

I think if he slotted into a team like ours, Cardiffs or Blackpools he'd be firing on all cylinders.

No offence to Brizzle City, though, obviously.

Would need to be really good & have good chemistry with current players. I really have thought for a long while, pearson is our new messiah in the making... save all judgements for him and walsh

Ive said countless times how we can improve this team. Don't anyone listen? lol

Jay Emmanuel Thomas at Ipswich is good now. He's gonna become very good. Watch this space.

Got loads of talent but he is VERY inconsistent. I am going to Ipswich v Hull tomorrow (Living in Hull and my mate is an Ipswich fan; tickets are only £10) so i'll give you some feedback. Oh, and of course Wellens

Aw, shucks...... :P

(Actually it's very kind of you to take the piss so gently..... :kissing:)

Being me I am naturally very worried about todays game, all the signs point to a City win so I just know that we are going to get turned over......

Training first, then a nice drive up the M40 followed by the horror that is the Aston expressway. Wish I could afford to take the train, for obvious reasons......

Saw that Jay scored an absolute beauty today.

I still think we could do with a volatile ginger centre half with an eye for a long pass.

I agree. We also need a finisher with an excellent League One record and a couple Premier league goals.

Can't think of any names mind.

That would be good. Preferably someone who doesn't feel pressure.

lol Ha yep. Out of nowhere. My opinion of him hasn't changed at all. He showed that touch of class but was far too laxed for the rest of the game and made some really sloppy errors. Best in that free role though because he doesn't offer a lot defensively.

Reckon Pearson would be able to get the best out of him though so he would be a decent shout.

Why on earth would you think that....... :dunno:

We already have two excellent creative players, both with more than a 'touch of class' and both undoubtably at their 'best in that free role' and NFP mostly plays them out wide........ :frusty:
