Disney Buys Lucas Films And Plans New Star Wars Movies

I did, you wanna make something of it?!?!?!?

Exactly.

Well seeing as it is the continuation of the story, but a separate trilogy, I would assume it would be set further into the future, peace has been restored to the galaxy, Princess Leia and Han become galactic King and Queen and have lots of kids while Luke goes off to search out more surviving Jedis, and gets out the midichlorian reader to find some new ones to restore the council, the story will most likely centre on these new young Jedi trying to find their way through the force with a few mentors guiding them, such as Luke, they will probably be friends with Han's kids, and they will have mischievous young scamp adventures in the first of the trilogy but with a darker presence looming over them, that Luke and the other Jedi mentors are protecting them from. Then Luke will die, much like Qui Gonn and Obi Wan did in the first of the other trilogies, but the young Jedi will triumph but at what cost...

The second of the trilogy will see the young Jedi strike out on their own to avenge the death of their master and at least one will be consumed by hate and turn to the dark side, probably at the end of VIII, and kill one of the other Young Jedi to save his new dark lord master Leia and or Han will die of old age too at this point leaving the ruling of the galaxy open for evil doers.

The final of the trilogy will be a climactic light sabre duel between the once young Jedi, who are now powerful Jedi masters, the winner will determine who takes control of the galaxy, a Jedi Council supported democracy or a new galactic despot and his dark Jedi, good Jedi win peace will be restored and the world will be a happy place again.

Fvck that guy is old, fair play to him for doing Star Wars in his 80s.

Not what I would write but what I think they will.

Light and fluffy with kids, in the first one, but with menacing undertones, the second of the trilogy is always darker and ends on a downer, death/betrayal/deception etc but with a lot of growth of the characters, the third one rights all the wrongs and the traitors either get their comeuppance or find redemption.

All live happily ever after.

If I wrote it there would be some cracking inter-terrestrial lesbian sex scenes with double ended light-sabre dildos, and fvck the 3 titted whore in total recall, these would be aliens made purely of tits and fannys and would only be able to communicate by rubbing their tits together with varying degrees of force and veolcity.

There would also be some novel uses of the force on unsuspecting females, but I'll leave that to your imagination.

I did approach Lucas Arts with these ideas, but they rejected it, probably because of the upcoming sale to Disney, the scene where Leia and Han's identical twin daughters destroy Luke's son, who has turned to the dark side, by sucking his cock until he is dry and sitting on his face so he can't breath is not really family friendly Disney material.

Well done that is the first post on this forum I actually have no idea how to respond to.

I ain't mad at that, but to be honest the script is more important, you can't polish a turd, doesn't matter how much lens flare you use.

but you're not pre-judging, right?

Not pre-judginig nothing, just saying that a good director isn't going to be able to do much with a duff script.

Disney only had 2 choices. JJ Abrams or Joss Whedon. They chose wisely.

Big fan of Whedon, would have been happy with either, both proven they can handle a big blockbuster, but it really does depend on the script.

Whedon kicks Abrams' boney ass into a tin cup.

Original Star Wars trio already on board for sequel, says George Lucas

Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher were cast in new films before he sold franchise to Disney, says Lucas

Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will all return for the latest film in the Star Wars series, according to the long-running space saga's creator George Lucas.

Lucas, who sold Star Wars to Disney for $4.05bn in October, revealed in an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek that Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia will all appear in the forthcoming JJ Abrams-directed Episode VII. The news follows confirmation from Fisher earlier this week – later hurriedly denied as a "joke" by her rep – that she will return to the series. Lucas said the three actors were on board prior to the sale of LucasFilm, which owns Star Wars, to Disney.

"We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison – or were pretty much in the final stages of negotiation," Lucas said. He added: "Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do."

LucasFilm itself refused to confirm or deny the story. "George couldn't say whether they were signed or not and neither can we. As Yoda said, 'always in motion is the future'. Stay tuned," said a spokesman.

Star Wars: Episode VII is being written by Toy Story 3's Michael Arndt. Hamill recently said he had discussed returning to play Luke with Lucas, while Ford has been heavily tipped to return despite keeping tight-lipped on the subject.

Disney is making a trilogy of new films to follow the six live–action features released between 1977 and 2005. The studio also announced last month that it will make a number of spinoff movies, two of which are being written (separately) by The Empire Strikes Back's Lawrence Kasdan and Sherlock Holmes's Simon Kinberg. Rumours have suggested some could be set within the timeline of the original trilogy and feature familiar characters such as Yoda, Solo, Darth Vader and bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Star Wars: Release Dates For New Movies Unveiled

The three movies will be split up by two spin-off films, making five altogether, new franchise owner Disney has revealed.

The three stars of the original series are set to make a comeback

The new Star Wars films will be released every summer from 2015 to 2019, Disney has said.

Three new movies in the franchise will alternate with two standalone spin-off movies, set in the same universe as the series.

The release schedule was revealed by Disney chairman Alan Horn at movie convention CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

Lost creator JJ Abrams has previously been named as the director of episode seven - due out in two years' time - with Toy Story 3 writer Michael Arndt doing the script.

Disney is injecting new life into the lucrative series after buying Lucasfilm last year for $4.05bn (£2.7bn).

Three stars from the original films - Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher - are set to reprise their iconic roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Prince Leia.

Disney has yet to confirm but the actors themselves, as well as creator George Lucas, have spoken cautiously about their involvement.

The spin-off films, lined up for 2016 and 2018, are are expected to either feature some of the lesser characters or explore the back story of the major ones.

Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote The Empire Strikes Back, is involved with the scripts.

Disney will be keen to learn from criticism of the Star Wars prequels, episodes one, two and three.

Released between 1999 and 2005, the films were widely criticised for relying too much on special effects at the expense of storyline and character.

Disney is onto a winner really, the prequels diluted the expectation by being shit that the new films don't have to live up to the legendary status of the originals, they just have to be better than the prequels, which they would have to be awful not to be. Despite the prequels though there films will make millions, because it's frikkin star wars innit.

Ewoks or Gungans?
