lcfcsnow Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20190101 Brilliant interview, well said Nigel
AKCJ Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Beagrie is and always has been a **** who shouldn't ever be in front of a T.V. camera.
Unabomber Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 I have always loved Pearson and hated Beagrie so this is right up my alley!
Fox92 Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Pearson's interviews are always quality, but this was classic. "You can just tell he doesn't work in football"
purpleronnie Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 I wonder if Holloway had said the same thing people would be saying he's a twat.
Unabomber Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 I wonder if Holloway had said the same thing people would be saying he's a twat. What has he got to do with anything?
J.Lisemore Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Its about time that tw*t got put in his place, that Beagrie has ALWAYS held something against us
Leicfox Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 I wonder if Holloway had said the same thing people would be saying he's a twat. Agree.
FrankieADZ Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 they've censored that interview....im sure he said something at the start ..crap. as for Beagrie....always a 2nd rate pundit imo. even Dowie is better than him....yeah and that goes some
purpleronnie Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 What has he got to do with anything? because when other managers say similiar things people seem to get the hump but when our manager says it its completely true and a love in....not that I disagree with pearson.
Leicfox Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 What has he got to do with anything? Maybe the fact our penalty against Blackpool was never a pen and everyone slated Holloway for being angry and incensed by the decision.
FrankieADZ Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 What did he say? Stringer asked....what did he think of the penalty and NP just said "its crap,Crap"
Benji Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 To be honest, I think this is an accumulation of recent games. Watford, Palace and Bolton have all had their incidents, some more blatant than others, and today was the icing on the cake. I think it took a lot for him to bite his lip after the Palace game, one step too far now. It's not like he comes out every game we lose like some. He took the Palace defeat very graciously despite the handball on the line.
Yojoe36 Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Wow. Pearson fvcking destroyed him. Good on him
NewburyFox Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Maybe the fact our penalty against Blackpool was never a pen and everyone slated Holloway for being angry and incensed by the decision. It was more to do with the paddy he threw at the end of the game, not shaking Nigel's hand, etc.
ADK Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Holloway should still have shook Pearsons hand after the match. And also Pearson hasn't come on saying Billy Sharp is a cheating cnut, simply that it wasn't a penalty.
Mark_w Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Best interview ever, and from someone so 'uncharismatic'.
Leicfox Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Holloway should still have shook Pearsons hand after the match. And also Pearson hasn't come on saying Billy Sharp is a cheating cnut, simply that it wasn't a penalty. Different situations though. Vardy was driving into the box looking for the penalty but the Blackpool player got the ball first before Vardy went down, so I can see why he said Vardy dived. Whitbread although got the ball also went through the player as well from behind and took the player out Sharpe had no part in it at all.
Finnegan Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Best interview ever, and from someone so 'uncharismatic'. People like yourself and c_star do yourselves no favours by being so appallingly and incorrectly smug at times. It is a good interview, it's a fantastic example of the side of Pearson I like. But he is immensely uncharismatic and he proves it here. He's not exactly a charmer, is he? He's terse, flat, firm and straightforward - they're not attributes people usually associate with charisma.
Saxondale Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Beagrie should stick to getting pissed and riding motorbikes through panes of glass.

He's terse, flat, firm and straightforward - they're not attributes people usually associate with charisma. You're probably right, but to be honest I really don't care how charismatic he comes across. I don't think I was being all that smug, I was legitimately pointing out that whilst people slate him for being dull that was one of the more entertaining starts to an interview I've heard from most managers this season. Maybe uncharismatic wasn't the right word, but it wasn't exactly boring. In fact most of his interviews aren't despite what a lot of fans will have you believe.
Finnegan Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 He's only really entertaining when he's being pissy, isn't he really? Don't get me wrong - I don't give a flying **** how entertaining a manager is, it's entirely irrelevant. The players are there to entertain, he's just there to organize. So it's a completely pointless criticism to call him boring but he's hardly Gordon Strachan.
