definitely not finners Posted 1 December 2012 Posted 1 December 2012 Yeh, but does Finners miss Yuki? Who is Finners? I don't know what you mean.
kingfox Posted 1 December 2012 Posted 1 December 2012 Always thought Yuki was really really average. And said so at the time. The midfield now is much better. Although imagine it with Jay Thomas in it! That'd be, like, amazin! What about that defensive midfielder we wanted, Emmanuel-Thomas isn't one.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Am I the only person who doesn't care that he scored against Arsenal Craig Hignett scored against Arsenal ffs, when they didn't lose a league game for the entire season!
Corky Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Am I the only person who doesn't care that he scored against Arsenal Craig Hignett scored against Arsenal ffs, when they didn't lose a league game for the entire season! Jesse Lingard scored for Man U, get him back.
artursteppe Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Yuki Abe was quality, obviously still is. I remember his first game, never seen a player not only have the capacity to evaluate who needed marking, ( which obviously professional midfield players must be able to do, unless your name is Wellens ), but he also had an amazing feel as to where to position himself when all players already marked to facilitate best chance of interception or be where the ball would end up, much like Neil Lennon used to do. Don't expect many others spotted that, nor actually understand what a rare quality that is.
theessexfox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 I'd probably welcome him as a decent squad player if he was on 1/10th of what he was on.
Fox92 Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Doesn't mean anything because he scored against Arsenal. I don't see how people jump to this conclusion of 'we miss him/he was quality' (same can be said about Gelson Fernandez). We've moved on, I much prefer Matt James.
