There are a number of teams within a few points of us who are absolutely rubbish. What does that make us. I will tell what it does not make, it doesn't make us good. Only palace above us as in any way showing us up. Cardiff, Middlesborough and Hull have spent a fortune on their teams as we have. It really is no shock that those teams are there.

Do you not think it rather odd then that a man stating NOW our team is good enough to be top two, was the man at the start of the season telling us that we were too defensively frail and slating Pearson over it. Too defensively frail to get promoted, slate Pearson. Not defensively frail, slate Pearson for not having us top two. Don't you get bored simply dismissing anyone who try's to even critically examine the situation? To do so doesn't mean we want Nigel out... That would be ridiculous.. Why would the bloke who has been slating him since he came back and starting threads entitled "Pearson on the edge" possibly want him to go.

Our shortcomings are frustrating but certainly not insurmountable.It will be interesting to see who NP brings in January but not as interesting as peoles wishlists as an aside, It may be interesting if those that like speculating or are ITK pick 2 players any position and see if anyone gets anywhere near? Any thread/poll maestros care to set something up?

Artursteppe is just the latest, though I also think he talks garbage. I'm just surprised you don't get bored of your 'back the current manager and dismiss anything else' campaign. And I'm surprised you don't get bored of exaggerating the facts I do it with people I think talk bull plop. Like those who state a few months ago we are defensively frail and that we will continue to be so with the players we have (Pearsons fault)... and then say we with a straight face a couple of months later the players are good enough for top two and it's all Pearsons fault we aren't. But hey, lets ignore the thousands and thousands of perfectly reasonable critisisms that don't get a response form me just to paint the picture you want. Why don't you worry about what you write and I worry about what I write.

As I said, there are many other sides in this league with rich history, fantastic squads, fantastic fans, fantastic facilities - some of them better than us. Why do we automatically deserve to be ahead of them in the league? You talk about our average position over the last ten years - is that all Pearson's fault then? The truth is, he's been our last manager in the last ten years. He took us back to the Championship when we were at our lowest ebb. He took us to the playoffs in his first season in the Championship, he did the best he could with Sven's misfits last season and since then he's cleared out the dross and built - in your words - an excellent squad and we're now firmly in the playoffs and still well in contention for a top two spot, having our best season in TEN YEARS and you're still not happy because we're not winning the league at a canter? You expect more of Leicester City? What exactly have they done to give you the reason to expect ANYTHING over the past ten years? Nothing. It's only now that we look like a side capable of challenging from promotion from this league apart from Pearson's last tenure here. So the league is competitive but crap at the same time? Strange how we seem to have been saying that every season since we bounced back from L1.

We have been one of the biggest clubs in the country ( consistently, for very many years amongst the top ten or fifteen clubs based on average gates ). For eight years ( I think ) we have been outside the top league. Our gates are still good, even after that length of time there are always Prem teams with smaller gates. We have in the past won the League Cup a few times and been in four FA cup finals. We have won the second ( championship ) league title more than anyone, except maybe one other club, not sure. We have wealthy owners, great facilities, great support, a great stadium, an excellent squad, good coaching, brilliant youth set up and lots more. An average position in the country of about 25th best team in England for the last 10 years is not good enough for me, and I am not wrong or in any way out of line by expecting more, or even demanding more. Fifth in the Championship and getting knocked out of the League Cup by Burton, at this stage of the season is poor. If that is good enough for you, that is up to you, but do not knock me or any other fan who expects more. We are, with what we have available even now, under-performing - FACT! Laughable. Utterly laughable. I genuinely would pity any other fan in this league who spouted that kind of shit.

We do not have the right to anything and have to earn it, it is just bad fortune and questionable decision making this past decade that as seen LCFC having one of the poorest times in its history but compared to some we are not doing to badly and this could well be a promotion season :xmastongue:

If that's your opinion then fine, but it's not really one based on fact currently. Also, it doesn't help your argument when not long ago you said our defensive frailties would remain unless we got reinforcements or changed formation. Which surely suggests you believed we weren't good enough then.... and yet suddenly we are.
