Guest ttfn Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 I really don't see the problem with Keane. He's managed for 2 and a half seasons at this level and managed a promotion. Not necessarily the greatest record imaginable but it's madness to write him off as a manager.
Kitchandro Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Either Keane or Strachan would make me happy
Captain... Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 I really don't see the problem with Keane. He's managed for 2 and a half seasons at this level and managed a promotion. Not necessarily the greatest record imaginable but it's madness to write him off as a manager. When you put it like that, it is a better record than Nigel's, but I think he has lost his edge, when he got Sunderland promoted he was still the legendary footballer, now his reputation is tarnished a little and his barking and stomping around won't be as effective. Reading about this on the BBC it all seemed so familiar: "We feel we have developed a really strong squad of players but are still searching for consistency in terms of team performance, underlined by the fact that we have not won more than two games in succession in the Championship this season."
C-man Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 So they are claiming they've sacked SOD for not winning more than 2 in a row? Jesus Zamora.
Jace Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Roy Keanes Nottingham Forest Give SOD a job here with Pearson
Tielemans63 Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Alex McLeish is odds-on favourite for the job now. Good manager but don't expect sexy football at the City Ground anytime soon.
Father Ted Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 I'm pretty sure that I read on SSN that Forest's owners are set to talk to a Premiership manager today?
RedHux Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 I'm pretty sure that I read on SSN that Forest's owners are set to talk to a Premiership manager today? Our esteemed Kuwaiti overlord tweeted that earlier so probably true. In any case, it's all a bit unseemly and depressing.
Corky Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 That's just a normal trip to the City Ground for us.
Guest ttfn Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 I really hope Forest and Blackburn dwindle hopelessly in mid-table now. Not that I didn't want that before.
Fox92 Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 McLeish wouldn't get Forest playing like Brazil, but he certainly knows how to get out of the division.
AKCJ Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 John Percy â€@John__Percy #nffc set to announce new manager
RedHux Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/news/article/new-manager-appointed-563994.aspx
ScouseFox Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 McLeish apparently. Not fussed by that. Doubt he'll be any better than SO'D.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 McCleish he is f**king shite good luck F****t lower mid table mediocrity beckons.
I am Rod Hull Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 http://www.nottingha...ted-563994.aspx  A late Christmas present there, Hux.
RedHux Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Suffice to say, his appointment has not been received well. Announcement made
Guest Bilo Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=34868&page=29&p=1645066#post1645066 They're very impressed down the A52.
AKCJ Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Have fun in the championship, Forest. You'll be staying in this division for many years to come.
