Huddersfield Match Thread (Cup)

Early days, but I'm sure they will be better than Vydra and Deeney by the end of the season.

Atm though, I will say they are slightly better than Nugent and Wood, because they are both scoring consistently together.

Top scorers in the league as well Watford, really didn't know that.

wood and Nugent have played 4 games together. Wood scoring 6 and Nugent scoring 1, that's consistent enough for me

Just got in from work. As boring as it looks? Anything actually happen?

Waghorn offside every time we have an attack, Vardy invisible. Not heard Wellens or King's name mentioned once

Konchesky lacking pace causing us problems at the back

Heading for a replay, purely because Huddesfield are so bad they can't capitalise on our shitness.

Need to get Drinky on to add a bit of urgency to the middle, same with Nuge up front.

totally agree about nuge and wood playing only four games, socring seven and not to mention the amount of assists they have for each other. so pipe the fvck down!

I think the rationale is that we will lose to a big team in a later round anyway so why bother? Then again Bradford City in the League Cup final says to me that we should believe we can go all the way so personally I'd play a strong team. Christmas fixture congestion is over now anyway.

I'm not a fan of that 'we'll only lose later on' talk either. I'd be delighted with an FA Cup quarter or semi final appearance. The run up to those kind of games is always exciting with a sniff of glory in the air, and now that we've got a fair few decent players again with a good team spirit, anything could happen if we got there.

Seeing how important the league campaign is this season, I am slightly nervous about these cup games myself, but was still hoping for a stronger starting line up today.

Not having a go at Nigel though - STILL UPBEAT :trumpet:

Perhaps we're playing for a draw and some additional income to help pay for all those pies & pints.
