Lakes fox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 I'm really new to this forum but have viewed it for a few months now. I'm addicted to the foxes an live in the past an wish we had a Matty Elliot in our team or an izzet. Interested in who you bring back if in their prime. Stupid maybe but am new so take it easy
Zingari Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Probably Frank Worthington , but so many other greats !
jonthefox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Lineker, weller and muzzy to name but three.
ian1984summer Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Akinbyi without a doubt. if you look up "bargain" in the dictionary there is a picture of him next to it.
Spiritwalker Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 If your around my age (43) surely it can only be Steve Walsh.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 A Neil Lennon is exactly what we need right now.
Bayfox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 I'd like to know how people narrow it down to just 1 to be honest. Maybe if you saw banks play or a weller or worthington ifthey were that good. But for me i think you look at players differently as you get older. Loved tommy wright mk1 as a kid. But looking back gary mac was a much a much better player. Then i liked scotty taylor but for his energy but he wasnt anywhere near being my favouite player of all time. I think that would have to be muzzy. But i'm not sure what that is really based on afterall lennon, elliott, heskey etc all offered just as much to that team at the time.

I just responded to the question of " who you['d] bring back if in their prime" based on our current crop. As far as City idols go, I'm torn between Banks, Shilton, Elliott, Lennon, Muzzy and our Gary, reckon Banks just about tips it for me in terms of pure legend status, not that I've ever seen him play mind!
I am Rod Hull Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 If your around my age (43) surely it can only be Steve Walsh. Oh yes, what a hero.
Dickov22 Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Favourite ever- Paul Dickov Best I've seen- Neil Lennon. Player we could most do with now- Neil Lennon
shiv Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Gotta be Muzzy. Had Izzet on the back of my first ever shirt
BigHeadLCFC Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 close between robbie nielson and hussein kaebi
smudger63 Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Well if we put Lennon and izzet into todays midfield, with Weller and Glover on the wing, lineker up front with Worthington, we would walk this league! Narrowing it down to one player though, it would be Weller for me. I feel lucky to have watched him play for us, in what was a very good football team, that we had under Jimmy Bloomfield.
Lakes fox Posted 25 February 2013 Author Posted 25 February 2013 Very good like The Sarcastic comments Nielsen eh very talented player if he was playing for forest green or barrow
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 A Neil Lennon is exactly what we need right now. This
Fox92 Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Paul Dickov - Just love him. Chased every ball, never gave up and always gave 100%. His finishing was excellent as well, and some of the goals he scored for us were quality. The type of player defenders hate playing against. _______ I love Izzet as well, but I only saw the back-end of his career here. Some of the goals he scored in that time, however, we sensational. Leeds away (3-2 defeat) and Grimsby (the best goal I've ever seen live) stick in my mind.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Best player Muzzy Izzet, Favourite player is the original Tommy Wright.
