Leicester v Watford - Now a Friday

Last home game usually has a good crowd including the away end I would be surprised if Watford sell out their allocation now it's moved so half empty stadium with no atmosphere it is then.

There is this on the OS;

(But I'm not frustrated with them, I know they have to do whatever Sky say. Its the buggers from Sky that need to look at themselves. They are ruining football support. Football should be on a Saturday afternoon, everyone attending, not a Friday evening or a Sunday afternoon making it difficult for fans).

The selection of the Watford game is the eighth occasion that one of City's home league games, originally scheduled for a Saturday at 3pm, has been rescheduled due to television coverage this season. The Club understands that this has caused some inconvenience for supporters and would therefore like to clarify its position with regard to the selection of televised games.

The Football League's central contract for television rights requires all of its member clubs to accommodate changes to the fixture schedule, based on selections made by its broadcast partners.

If a Leicester City fixture is selected for live coverage, the Club is obliged to play the game at the rescheduled time unless the Safety Advisory Group determines that there are justifiable safety reasons for objection.

The Club empathises with supporters that have been frustrated by the unprecedented changes to the schedule. With this in mind, we have recently extended a special offer to our loyal Season Ticket Holders, entitling them to a complimentary additional ticket for one of our next three home games against Millwall or Birmingham City or Bolton Wanderers, as a gesture of appreciation for their efforts to accommodate the changes.

The Club is committed to ensuring that Season Tickets continue to represent the best possible value to supporters attending games on a regular basis.

And I cant find an address, or email, for Sky/Sky Sports. I want to write a letter to them.

Credit to the club for coming out and saying something, but if I'm honest how does me taking a friend for free really benefit me? Benefits my friend but not me, would prefer a pie and a pint if I'm honest.

Maybe your friend will treat you to a pie and a pint as a thank you for getting them in free...

If I was a ST Holder I would boycott this game, and have some form of protest outside the club before hand.

I am a season ticket holder and I'm going one further, I am going to boycott next season and every season after untill they bring back Saturday 3pm. I refuse to be bullied and pushed around by Sky. now you may say so that your won't be missed but neither will I miss having some one jerk my chain when ever they feel like it . If the fans no longer matter then so does my love of football --fvck them.

But yet the majority of you still pay your Sky subscription.

Staying away and protests outside will do nothing. Banners that the cameras will see might be more effective

I do agree with you completley in principle.

However.....even by Sky's standards this is somewhat of a pisstake for our ST holders, It's getting to the point now where I feel for people whether they feed the beast or not. We've had so many games moved and most to week day evenings.

Just get the 3 free tickets and sell them for £10 each.

Feel bad for any of you season ticket holders who live anywhere near as far away as I do must of been a complete waste of money this season trying to get to all these weekday matches. Shame they don't give more notice too when they do this by this time anyone staying overnight at hotels etc have probably already made arrangements

For those of you who say 'who cares?', consider this.

I have been a season ticket for 18 years ( I am 24) and I moved to Manchester last year due to work commitments. I am still a season ticket holder and travel back for every home game apart from mid week ones, these I give to a friend. I start work at 9 and finish at 5. This means that getting back to Leicester in rush hour for 7.45 is just not feasable. It has meant that I have had missed an abundance of games.

Who cares? I fecking do.

Get a mate down who isn't a Leicester fan to stand in front of the camera with a 'we want our saturdays back' plaque

"Who cares really?" !!!!!!

Well all those season ticket holders that bring their children. I have had a season ticket for my children since they were 6. I found it hard to justify to the Mrs that they should attend a night game right up until they were about 11. Even then I have to admit, they don't get back home and in bed before 10:30 and are knackered the next day.

My choice you could say, but when I buy the season tickets I do not expect as few as 7 games in a season to be on a Saturday afternoon.

Also what about people who know they are free on Saturdays for games but may have work commitments mid week? They will expect the odd game might be mid week and allow for that when considering whether to buy a season ticket. This season for them though is ridiculous.

Your argument that atmosphere is better doesn't always follow, especially when a load of fans choose to stay at home and watch it on the TV. This often reduces the away support numbers and it is a healthy away support that adds to the atmosphere.

It's just wrong that so many games are moved.

Two words DOOR MAT. They will walk all over the likes of you because your spineless.

Comments like this are the reason why -1's should be brought back on Foxestalk.

Okay maybe I went a bit far. I am able to go all games when ever at the minute. I just think some night games the crowd are more up for it. But i do prefer Saturday games. But would be nice to see some banners
