cc_star Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Hearing he's been sacked Joke owners become more of a joke.
steveherbe Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 And we moan about our owners? Blackburn are an embarrassment, bet their fans are delighted with this latest fiasco.
Alexikokopops Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Haaaaaaaahaha brilliant. I think they need a more hirsute manager for their next appointment. Clearly the bald approach isn't working. Thinking about it - if Blackburn appoint a new permanent manager before the season end (rather than just a caretaker) it will be their fourth of the season, and if Appleton gets another job it will be his fourth. Oh dear football. Oh dear.
21st Century Fox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 The Sun seem to be running it... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4849324/Michael-Appleton-sacked-by-Blackburn.html
goose2010 Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 pretty much confirmed by the look of my twitter feed 67 days in charge! absolutely shocking paddy power just tweeted this made me laugh Michael Appleton sacked by Blackburn after failing to win them the Champions League in his 67 days in charge!
whoareyaaa Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Crazy thought he had turned them around to be fair
21st Century Fox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 A quick glance at a Rovers forum and some seem quite pleased.... Time to fire the gun. With him the only way is down so what's the gamble????STILL people want to give him time. He's worse than Berg and Berg didn't get to change the squad. I said it when he was appointed but we are never going anywhere under this LOSER Well, as much as it's embarrassing that this would mean we'd be up to seven managers in a season, I do support this. The guy is shit, plays shit football, and seems completely clueless.I just hope they don't bother appointing anyone permanently until the end of the season though; wait to see where we're at.
MonarchFox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Serves him right for bailing on Blackpool after a couple of months in charge. Bet the blackpool chairmen is pissing himself
21st Century Fox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Serves him right for bailing on Blackpool after a couple of months in charge. Bet the blackpool chairmen is pissing himself I bet he is, he's probably pocketed the compensation money himself.
lcfcsnow Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Serves him right for bailing on Blackpool after a couple of months in charge. Bet the blackpool chairmen is pissing himself He'd have probably been sacked at Blackpool if he stayed, appaling record everywhere he's been. Might as well make the most of these thick people offering him jobs.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 I can't believe this! Why'd they give him the job in the first place then?
cc_star Posted 19 March 2013 Author Posted 19 March 2013 Should've kept Kean They were 3rd with 2pts per game when he was sacked, 2pts off Brighton in first.
FrankieADZ Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 given there track record.....Ronald McDonald or Colonel Sanders could be on there list.
Father Ted Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 To be fair, he's been taking Blackburn in the wrong direction ever since he was appointed, only 4 points clear of relegation. He's always come across as a dull, boring manager who is happy to play for draws.
Corky Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 They were absolutely terrible when they played us at the KP, made us look brilliant in our shocking run. The Venky's must have the worst track record for appointing managers. Don't get the hype around Appleton, did little at Portsmouth and has struggled in the north west since. But no doubt he'll get another job soon.
21st Century Fox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Do they specifically only go for eggheaded managers as a marketing ploy?

His record at Portsmouth was obviously hampered by their situation but he had a nightmare at Blackpool who were pretty high under Holloway & then he's continued Blackburn's nosedive. However he was only taking them down, Venky are a total joke but they obviously don't want to do a Manderic and regret not sacking the manager taking you down
